I couldn’t help myself when I found this 1969 fondue set in an op-shop a couple of years ago…
It might have taken me a while to use it and it was my first time trying fondue! But oh my goodness, it was worth the wait! So delicious!
Here’s the recipe if you would like to try also!
1 cup dry white wine
2 Tbsp flour/cornstarch
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 pound (226g) Swiss cheese
1/2 pound Gruyere cheese
1/4 tsp salt
Bring wine to simmer in pot over medium to low heat.
Stir in flour and nutmeg to grated cheese in bowl.
Add cheese mixture 1/4 pound (113g) at a time into pot until cheese is melted.
Season with salt and transfer to fondue pot.
Enjoy!
P.s Sorry for the crackling audio, at this point after spending too long trying to fix it hahah I give up 😂

Sage I’m so excited for a new video. I was born in 1968 and my parents had that set, it looks like it could be the same! I remember the color spot on the end of each fondue stick. You look lovely as ever💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
My parents used to do fondue 😊

Ya well we can't all call up a Sage Lillyman out of the air. Not exactly being sarcastic while being sarcastic. This is the way the world should be.
Welcome back Sage!
So good to see you again! Such a breath of fresh air!
