  1. I have really got to up the variety included in the meals I prepare. I think I have slipped into the lazy habit of tossing a couple of sides next to whatever meat I find on the cheap. You inspire me to invest a bit more thought into dinner.

  2. I'm never big on peas & carrots, but yours looked appetising, I think because the carrots weren't diced. I hope I remember to make some that way.

  3. Your lunch meal is what we would eat for dinner! Just some homemade humous for lunch with a tomato, cucumber and bread or a homemade soup and bread.
Mind you we are in our 70’s. Love your new house. Hope all the renovations go well. I enjoy watching you. X

  4. Lovely meals! I am making chicken pot pie tmr to use up some veggies and cooked chicken I have leftovers of. There was a great sale on potatoes and I got 10 lbs for $ 1.77 Cdn so will serve the pie with some mashed potatoes which I love. I make my gratins without cheese as I can get great lactose free heavy cooking cream but I don’t like the lactose free cheeses that are available near where I live. They are still very yummy especially the one I make with butternut squash! Everyone remember to please let the ads run so Jane and a Mike can continue making great videos!

  5. So good to see you all feeling more at home and sharing your meals with us again. What fun you have together, especially with the salami and chainsaw😂 New to me is the Gluten free flour and pizza! Since when have you been gluten free? Would you share your pizza dough recipe? My husband is Celiac and i am staying away due to inflammation issues.🤦🏼‍♀

  6. Well, now I'm hungry! Fabulous looking meals, and budget friendly. The wasp (I'm unreasonably terrified of them) wanted in on lunch too!

  7. I wonder how you come up with the lunch and dinner meal ideas. Do you find you use the same menu over and over? Or do you plan meals from what you purchased at the store?

  8. I love watching your channel. Must say I'm still having trouble with the new intro. My question is Are you or have room to grow your own vegetables now?

  9. Some great meal idea there, thank you. Iv never tried making hm mushroom soup,…will be giving that a go. Food prices are rising so fast now..iv spent mornings looking for more budget meals to write down. I'm going to try a midweek mushroom cheesy bake as mushrooms seems to be half the price per kg of beef mince ( iv not cooked with mushrooms much before) and get my protein in the low cost cheese. Bonus is the bake recipe says freezer friendly that l look for , as only 2 of us. Looks as if i'm going to have to find more vegetable casseroles/ bakes to cut down more and more on the meat 🙁

  10. That baguette looked gorgeous! Lovely meals too, it must be such a releif eating real homecooked meals again. Your new kitchen looks very fancy, and i hope its nice to cook in.

  11. We are new retirees and moved to the Lot 10 months ago. Our neighbour bought us some mushrooms that are growing around some tree stumps on the side of the road. She assured us they were safe to eat (I still checked 😂). They were really tasty and cost nothing!

  12. Such photogenic food! I'm little, with hypothyroidism, so carbs are not on the menu, but after watching, I feel I've really feasted!

  13. I’m sorry. I do hate to complain. But the camera is moving so much when on the plates. About to make me dizzy.

  14. For wasps and hornets it is swarming season in the fall. I usually put a 1/4 beer in a canning jar away from the house on a table, or stool to draw them away from us.

  15. I see that your main meal is at lunch time? This is how we were raised to eat in the Netherlands.

  16. Such nice meals! I want to thank you for talking about gluten-free foods. My daughter needs to avoid gluten products, and your videos help me to find the products in France that make her happy!

  17. "Stanley Tucci, eat your heart out." Thank you for the belly laugh today! You have a nice variety in your meals and they all look lovely!

  18. My frugal endeavors have been increased after watching your videos. Today, I bought a package of seven very large red and yellow peppers @50% off. I cut off only a few ‘old’ spots off one. Roasted all of them as strips. Delicious! Will freeze most of them in small bags, for soup.
