French Prime Minister François Bayrou has lost the vote of confidence he called in his government.
France’s National Assembly has voted by 364 votes to 194 to eject him from office and bring down his minority government. Another 25 MPs abstained.
Bayrou initiated Monday’s surprise vote himself, seeking, as he explained it, to “shock” politicians into agreeing on a way to tackle the country’s looming debt crisis – but it’s been clear for weeks that he was heading for defeat.
He now has to present Emmanuel Macron with the resignation of his government, which according to French media he will do tomorrow morning.

to give everyone contexts the centrists are trying to balance a horrific budget that has the worse borrowing in all of europe and both the far right and far left made promises that would 100% require more lending. That's why Macron isn't allowing the left to take power in parliament and why he appealed to the far right because at least they'd agree to cut social services though at the end did not agree to the tax hikes
