This week, we hit the road — literally — thanks to a new collaboration with Hitway eBikes, giving me a chance to explore our countryside in a whole new way.

Back at the château, the July Supper Club with Chef James Gordon brought joy, laughter, and seasonal perfection to the dining room (and the terrace!).
I also shared a brief update on our ongoing cliff crisis — including some jaw-dropping quotes for what it might take to move those boulders.

And finally… a special moment from John, a longtime YouTube fan who joined us for dinner and shared the sweetest testimonial.

It’s another week of food, friends, and a bit of French drama — welcome to summer at Château de Borie!

  1. Again,I’m so very sorry for the huge expense for this. Have you thought of a Go Fund Me page? I know I’d contribute! No gifts for contributing are necessary. I have plenty of rocks at my house! ❤Margie😊😂

  2. A goFund me is not a bad idea. Maybe for a plaque or a star ⭐️ or decoration w name ? Or just cause! I’m sure any amount can help.

  3. Sorry Abbie this is a complete change of subject, but can you give us the animal lover`s an update on the stray black cat that looked like it needed vet attention , does it still hang around the chateau.???

  4. The bike was sent to a female. Therefore the company sent a bike made for a female. Bikes for males has that bar you spoke of. Women are built different than men so are bikes. ;o) Great bike, hope you have fun.

  5. Congrats on your 150th video!
I sympathize with your boulders dilemma, but I do have to ask a question. You've been trying to get this cliff down for at least a year (I believe); did you never think of what was to be done with the stone once it came down?

  6. Abby, I am blown away by how well you deal with all the problems that come with your chateau. I think Mike from Chateau Sallandrouze has an excellent solution for you. That aside, you are doing a fantastic job keeping things going there. I envy your drive and determination.

  7. Hi Abby 👋🏻
When life gives you lemons 🍋 paint gratitude rocks. It’s a thing in the US, there are many FB groups dedicated to it – painting rocks & leaving for people to find & hopefully improve their day.
I know it’s not a solution for the mass you’re dealing with, but could be a novelty idea. Maybe you could introduce it in your seminars.
Congratulations to your daughter ❤ 👰‍♀️

  8. Great solution to the cliff collapse – piling big rocks at the base of the cliff sounds like it will help reinforce the cliff, and terraces sound like future places for gardens.

  9. No need to do a thing. Don't understand why you feel this needs to be a priority. Besides, guests will want to see the spectacle of rocks and may offer other solutions. Please take your time. Getting a new roof is more important.

  10. Congratulations on 150 videos yay 🎉🎉🎉
there’s got to be companies out there willing to buy that gorgeous rock start selling it

  11. My guy can fix this easy peasy. One week he said. Get a large dozer, an excavator and an all expense paid trip along w $25k and you will not find one rock left when he is done. He moves mountains for a living-at a rock pit. Reference will be provided. Best I can do for you honey… ❤

  12. I’m certain a solution to the rocks will be found hopefully less costly than mentioned! The e-bikes are really coming around I see several companies promoting on YT and seem to work well a basket is needed should you ride to the market! The Supper Club looks great spectacular food and many are joining so wonderful! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Au Revoir 💜

  13. James is amazing! He looks cool, calm, and collected, even though he has to get everything ready for 17 guests with no help. His food presentations look stunning as well as delicious.

  14. Wish I were closer to attend supper club. Gosh Abby you have come ahead leaps and bounds with your home in France. Wonderful😊

  15. Bonjour! And Howdy! Best Wishes for your trip to Seattle & Wedding Wonders! So fun to be with family & friends for a memorable moment! I love the plans for your “Rock Concert!” Miss Rebble Flintstone! 😂Seriously, simply dance in the rain and giggle frustrations away! Hence, you are safe! Your new EBike looks so classy! I luv the camel leather seat! Soo vintage! Yes to adding baskets and getting another one. I wish Tomas can be gifted one as well! He is a valuable asset to your vlogs, Chateau, and in your life. Great friends are like family…treasures to cherish forever! 🤍🦋 ps… The Rock and Roof have to be addressed ASAP, rains and possible flooding. It has created trenches/ditches, so it seems, towards the Chateau? I hope not.

  16. Congratulations Abby on 150 videos! 🎉🎉 I think long-term you could find ways to come up with landscaping the lower level utilizing the rock land maybe tearing the land so it’s easier to not only mow but it’s on levels that you can actually utilize the yard or make garden beds that are about 2 1/2 feet 3 feet tall utilizing the rock. I know this is a long-term plan and I know you’ve got a lot of rock but look for something out of the box utilize the rocks and whatever way you possibly can. If you can break it down utilize that money that these companies are gonna be charging you to re-utilize that lower strip of land.

  17. People pay big bucks for large boulders for landscaping. Have you considered placing some of the rocks/boulders around the Chateau and amongst your landscaped areas? They can add alot of interest and fill in gaps in garden areas.

  18. I think you could make the rocks there a feature. Clear away the smaller ones, add some concrete pillars and a statue or two and plant some ferns and other small plants in and around the rocks. It could look like a crumbling Greek temple. It seems easier, cheaper, and more interesting than hauling it all away- and it could be a beautiful subject for your painting retreats.

  19. Yes! a boulder moving, artistic retreat! Loads of ideas in the comments for what to do with the rocks and make something awesome! And yes, sell off the ones you cannot use, however, I am sure there are some other corners of the property which could use a wall or rock garden. Congratulations on your 150th video and your resilience! I admire you immensely. Thank you for sharing your adventures!

  20. Abby, congrats on 150 videos thus far. I hope you can get those rocks dealt with in a timely, cost efficient, safe, and attractive way. The bike looks cool. Be careful about storage, though. There have been reports of apartment fires caused by lithium batteries.❤

  21. Before you do anything==GET THE QUOTES IN WRITING!! Weather clauses, TOTAL costs=permits, taxes, other fees, etc. If you have a lawyer friend, have them look it over. Good luck!

  22. Get yourself a plastic milk basket and use bungie cords to attach. That way you can take it off and carry what you buy into the house in one trip.

  23. awww Abby, you know what, even with that bloody bolder garden out there, you get to have some really special moments at the Chateau. You have met some fantastic people, made some wonderful friends, and everyone that comes, loves their stay… Life is made of ups and downs, but you've kept on, keeping on. I so love your journey, and I love it coz it's authentic. You keep it 100% and I appreciate that. Life is not perfect, and I think what keeps us all watching; is that we can totally relate to your frankness. Sometime YT shows us stuff that is just too perfect, life's not perfect, it's the imperfections that make life beautiful. Thank you again for sharing your journey with all of us.

  24. Congratulations on making your 150th video that’s a lot of work Abby, also I agree with Mike about keeping the rock on your property just utilizing it different ways instead of hauling it away. It’s too expensive to make a new road for the trucks to come through… check into what he suggested, I think you’ll be happier.
Another great video today and I like your E bike kind of cool watching you from Annapolis, Maryland USA
