  1. The deductible is absolutely the most broken part of insurance. If you’re already paying monthly for insurance, it should simply cover you. It makes no sense to have to pay them an ADDITIONAL amount when the scenario arises that you actually have to USE the insurance you’re paying out the ass for.

  2. "it's not free, they pay for it with taxes"

Ah, yes, because our current taxes are going to much better things than free healthcare…..

  3. As an American, you do not have to pay it. The only time you would have to is if you are having a doctors appointment and you have to pay your debt as those are technically not necessary. It is illegal to refuse medical care to anyone, no matter their race, gender, money situation, or even if they're homeless. The worst they can do is affect your credit score, which isn't much. Also, there are multiple ways to pay, like paying monthly. It's fucking terrible here economy wise.

  4. In Chile with "fonasa" my family pays like 30 dollars or less (35.000 clp or something like that idk)

  5. Well the rest of the world gets to take it easy with the medical bills. Because most of the research medically is sourced and made in the usa. Instead of the rest of the world paying to pitch in, it is mainly the usa citizens paying a huge amount of the cost on their backs. Your welcome Europe. For paying for most of the world's costs.

  6. In malaysia while health care is not exactly free. For normal colds or sickness or dental care it would cost 1$. While eye surgery for castracts would probably cost abt 1.5k to 3k per eye

  7. In Panama we have free hospitals and private hospitals. The free hospitals only offer medicinal aid – so you must have someone who brings your food/drinks and wash you i you cant yourselfe as its not inccluded in service. Also you have no right of decision of therapy and they dont even tell you the diagnosis. I would go there for a broken arm but i fled and had to pay 250 Dollar in Private Hospital for another thrombosis screen. I got my prescription for the anti thrombosis "needle" and have to pay 40 Dollar for a syringe they gave me. I dont have to stay in the hospital – i could do the needle in my belly myselfe.

  8. This is why you always ask for an itemized recite. Most the time they stack on things you either didn't get done or things that's outrageously expensive. If they fight you more lawsuit ^^
