How To Use A French Press

  1. I thought a French press was where you pressed all the way down onto the coffee and squeezed it out like an espresso biscuit.

  2. Sadley you didn't show how to assemble the press for a newcomer! I bought my first ever coffee maker but on arrival I find the bottom piece, shown in description, not in the box. I am trying to find whether this is an error or an unnecessary part. But interesting just the same.

  3. i always had instant coffee be4 going for a long college day & had no idea how to use a french press & i was like “pootan”, but thx 🙏 to this vid i helped me

  4. I have the same press. My method…Take favorite coffee cup, nuke water for 2:25, pour hot water over 4/5 tablespoons of Cafe Bustelo in the press, wait about 5 minutes, press that coffee, pour into coffee mug/cup that’s been pre-loaded with desired amount of granulated Sugar In The Raw & a bit of Half & Half, stir and enjoy.

  5. I got one today for Christmas 2024 and the instructions were vague. I found this instruction video VERY helpful!😊👍🎄

  6. So then you're stuck with grimy grounds on the bottom of the carafe….not to mention the plunger is all groundsy….
please do show how you clean that.

  7. This is the best video I have seen on making coffee using the French press! I’ve had my French press for 5 years and just now able to understand perfectly how to use it. Thanks a thousand times sir!!!

  8. Currently using the pour over method for my work week coffee making, and drip on the weekends. Pour over works great as well. Strong coffee in the end. Always wondered about the press method and what the hell is it. I’m welling to give it a try but I actually don’t have any complaints from my current setup. My only question about the press method how quickly can I dispose of the grounds and where does it go when you are pressing down?

  9. Can you just put the French press in the fridge and drink the leftover coffee the next morning?

  10. Don't wait four minutes. A minute is fine. Then push down the plunger. If you want to change the coffee taste add more coffee or change the blend.

  11. My son bought me a French press years ago and I broke it after only a few uses. I got another one recently that is surrounded with silicon, so I think it was last a bit longer! 🤞

  12. The French press is not good when you’re making just one or 2 cups of coffee because the plunger does not go low enough to press the water out of the grinds. For just a cup or two, it is better to use an Aero Press, which is a sort of modernized version of the French press.

  13. Having a small coffee maker means fresh coffee anytime without the hassle. Perfect for busy mornings!

  14. I love when videos don't know what their talking about

. I'm hear to learn about french press method and even I know boiling water is a no no
