I believe that manhunter was checking on clark at the end and that wasn't actually chloe clark was talking to in the barn. I think that was the whole point of the oreos.

This was Bautista's first acting role. Google says Relative Strangers but he not really in it. The movie uses footage from a WWE event which has Bautista fighting Triple H. Smallville really did give Dave his first acting role with Lines. Now Dave has gone on to be in a Bond movie, Marvel, Blade Runner, and Dune. The UPN/CW was the home of Smackdown which Dave was on at the time which lead to some wrestlers getting work on hits shows like the Rock and Big show on Star Trek series.
Just to say about AJ's question…..I absolutely HATE the lazy 8 episodes a year that we have now. I miss the days of 22-24 episode seasons. I'd even take 15 episode seasons over the crappy 8.
I'll be VERY disappointed if Michael doesn't finish watching the series after they watch season 7.

At this point in time, Dave Batista is the best Wrestler turned Actor.
I legit always thought that the whole Oreo cookie thing was just low budget/bad decision-making for like props basically. I always thought that given the Batista character that it was supposed to be a body part like an ear or something that has been ripped off and Clark found it and they didn’t expect anybody to realize it’s just an Oreo cookie. And then upon reading Some articles, I found out that that’s one of Martian Manhunter’s things, he loves Oreo cookies. So I do believe that any avid comic book reader immediately understood the Oreo reference. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows but I do believe it was good episode overall. Definitely had a few Issues, but overall great episode. Really wish Bautista could’ve been on the pod.

I still remember the end of this episode. When his eyes lit up red I got chills before my brain truly processed who this was. The Oreo easter egg was just even further confirmation. I love the little visual and verbal details of this entire series that points back to the comics.
To caller Jack, Martian Manhunter eats cookies later in the show and talks about his love of cookies in another episode. He's not the cookie monster eating cookies all the time but they do call back to the easter eggs planeted in this episode.
So Martian Manhunter likes Oreos, okay whatever. But why would he only take one bite and drop it on the ground all over the place??? Who only takes one bite of an Oreo and drops it??? fun fact, or should I say, interesting thing of note: this isn't the first time 33.1 has appeared on the show. The first time was actually back in Season 4 Episode 7 Jinx. At the end of the episode after Mikhail Mxyzptlk loses his powers Lex takes him to 33.1 with the intent to restore his powers. Then it's never brought up again until this episode and from now on it becomes a vital part of the show. There was also this little web series called The Vengeance Chronicles that it's mentioned in that is on the Season 5 DVD but I don't know if that's canon or not

I still can't buy into Lana being into Lex. I don't think her character would fall for him after everything that happened beforehand. They don't strike me as a good couple on the show and will be great to see them split. This is only my 2nd time watching the show and couldn't even recall Lana making this far into the show.
