Now wondering if the knives in the silver passed down to me are really butter knives, or fish knives. How does one tell? Love the butter dish and (shockingly) the mug. So glad to see this box again. Wrestled with the idea of subscribing, but it's just out of the reach of the budget.

My favorite is the butter dish. Cute but still sophisticated.
It's a lovely box and you do an exquisite job of unboxing it, I'm so glad Sharon realized you should have it! It's definitely a butter knife! The fish knife has a point or a "notch" in the blade for removing bones.

Hmmm, I left an earlier comment but don't see it now. I wanted to come back and mention that I visited the olive oil site and the different boxes are specific Provence olive varieties, how cool! And you were right, their bottles are inspired by perfumery. You called that one!

Beautiful box! The butter dish is my favorite.
Estoublon makes amazing olive oils from different varieties of olives. which are differentiated by the color of the box. It looks like you received a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Bouteillan olives.
I'd keep that olive oil bottle when it's done and use as a bud vase – so pretty!
