🔶 About us 🔶

Welcome to our channel! We’re Carol and Ken, retired professionals turned van life enthusiasts. We share our adventures across the UK and Europe in our camper van, which we have just upgraded to a slightly larger model.

Our goal is to provide a relaxing, honest account of van life, with no scripted drama – just the real, day-to-day experiences of our travels. Many of our viewers find our content calming, and we hope you will too.

We’re passionate about wild camping and love to share our knowledge and tips, from staying cool in the van to choosing the right toilet. We’re always learning and look forward to sharing our campervanning experiences with you.

While we love the freedom of wild camping, we also enjoy supporting local businesses by indulging in delicious local food. Expect to see plenty of one-pan meals and restaurant visits in our videos.

We like historical sites, country homes, towns, villages, and the occasional city. We aim to share interesting facts and stories about the places we visit.

We post new videos every Friday at 6pm UK time, sometimes more often.

Our channel is perfect for armchair travellers, those considering a caravan or motorhome, or anyone looking to unwind after a stressful day. If this sounds like you, hit that subscribe button and join us on our journey. Your support, whether through watching our videos, subscribing, or contributing to our ‘Buy Me a Coffee’ fund, helps to keep our adventures going. We appreciate every bit of it. ❤️

  1. Share your most embarrassing moments in the comments. 😁👍

Sorry about the sound guys. I know what the problem is. There may be a few more videos to come where the volume is low, but I have sorted it. Please bear with us.

  2. Ah..Didn't appreciate all that….I know when shopping sometimes Mrs M just uses her carrier bag which she shows at the check out.

  3. On another occasion …we entered the supermarket , took a wheeled basket , did our shopping , went through the checkout using the trolley. When we went to the door the alarm went off !….Apparently trolley was for internal use only….if you need an external trolley …you put in a Euro in the chain lock !!!

  4. Once stopped by airport security for a body search. What did they find in my pocket, a french metro ticket. !!! In french super markets its only items of value have the security tags

  5. I know seat belts should fit correctly. However, I hope you dont have to stop suddenly with Carol's knees so close to the dashboard.

  6. Regarding the seat belt: I’d like to see a bigger gap between Carol’s knees and the glove box. Plus if you sit too far forward and the airbag deploys it can smash your specs 🤓

  7. Hi Guy's, 👋👋 Another fantastic video, Carol our tour guide and Ken the cameraman make them so so interesting , nice to see places that I will probably never see myself.
Hope your foot will be OK Ken, that must of hurt 😣.
    Stay safe and take care.
Really looking forward to the next one, sounds as if it's going to be good. 😊 👍

  8. Great to see the relaxing French travel again …. The Vietnamese restaurant was a bit unusual lol😂

I guess knees to close then a sharp break you get your knees smacked

Blimey that would of been interesting if you can’t speak French mind you not sure why Ken’s lipstick was in your bag Carol 😂

  9. If you are a type 2 diabetic step away from the bread, flour and pasta, you don’t need it and you won’t spike your insulin. Just saying 😊

  10. Hi Carol and Ken Greetings from a tropical West Sussex Coast.Modern technology, who would have it! Kind regards Crawford

  11. I’ve done plenty of embarrassing things but thinking of one related to being in our van was going to a campsite and going for a shower and realising as I was stood blow drying my hair that not only was my top inside out but I’d dropped my knickers on the way out the cubicle and they were lying in the main aisle… needless to say I didn’t claim them in a very busy wash area 😂😂

  12. I enjoyed the beautiful abbey. I’ve been to Glastonbury Abbey today. You can only imagine how mighty it must’ve been. Thanks for the tip on putting carbs in the fridge, I’ve been doing that in the camper. It does take a bit of forward planning. X

  13. Great video Carol and Ken.
Lovely music during the Abbey tour and very interesting learning about the monks and their way of life. Thank you for bringing us along ❤ x

  14. Thanks again for another fabulous video! The music was great! I hate it when your videos finish!!

Carol! How tall are you? Didn’t realise how tall until you talked about the seat belt!
That salmon pasta dish looked delicious! I will be pinching that recipe! Ooh please can you give the name of the pot you used for cooking and what else can you cook in there? We have air fryer, microwave, electric frying pan – then normal pans for a single gas hob.

    Thanks so much again ❤

  15. Watching as per on a quiet Sunday morning with a cuppa tea 🍵 and all essential dunking biscuits 😋 Connie Francis ,lipstick 💄 on your collar, gonna tell on you, in this instance, lipstick in your travel bag grassed you up Carole 😂🎉

  16. Loved the Hambye Abbey, think Friar Tuck played by Alexander Gauge was a Benadictine Monk, who was a member of Robin Hood's Band of Merry Men, with Richard Greene as Robin and Archie Duncan as Little John. <- Feels really old now. Haven't seen a display like that at the Abbey before. That was pretty kool. They have a Vietnamese Takeaway not far from here, hope they have chicken noodles. They looked really good. So did the salmon pasta with vegies cept for the broccali. Thanks m8s, done well, stay vertical Eh!

  17. You were searched because you're not really supposed to carry rucksacks through supermarkets in Europe. It's a bit of a rule, they normally have lockers at the front of the store. 👍 Lesson I learnt when I moved to Barcelona.
    Great channel btw, subscribed!

  18. Hi Carol and Ken enjoyed this video very much , loved the music 🎶🎵 that went with this video especially the last one.
    ❤ Take care X X X

  19. Great stuff guys thanks for a pleasurable 40 minutes, it flies by. See you next week 🙏🇬🇧

  20. Have you ever thought of a small dehumidifier in your van? We expel vaporous air when we breathe so it can build up moisture in an enclosed area overnight. Maybe it would help keep the van drier for you.

  21. To be fair I have so many embarrassing moments that to post them would take up quite a bit of space! Another great video showing us how to live a van life comfortably and peacefully. You both make it look incredibly enticing! Mary

  22. Love your videos. Home with a miserable cold and happily settled in to watch these last few videos I had missed. Figured it was my stopped up ears messing with my hearing – glad to know it's not, lol. Really I very much enjoy watching you tour these historic places and Carol I love listening to the interesting facts you' pass along!
