  1. I LOVE all the Swedish flat breads and they are perfect to put a big piece of herring with a bunch of onions on top. Delish. I like to just have the bread with some butter on it for breakfast. The best breakfasts I have ever had on my trips to Europe were in Copenhagen and Stockholm. I realize these are lunches but you could serve some of the same things for a lunch.

  2. In the nordic countries we try to teach the children to eat and try all foods. In Finland it is very important that the free school lunch is balanced. There is always salad and always a veg alternative. No prefabs or nuggets

  3. Wouldnt exactly call that a typical Swedish school lunch, but anyway the "crackers/dry bread" are supposed to have butter on them lol

  4. we had a few good lunches like nachos but it didn't matter because the school was so big, you had to run as soon as the bell rang to get in line, you could be standing in that line your entire lunch period and not get food, on bad days I'd get my food and before I could sit down, the bell would ring, I developed a bad habit of wolfing down my food.

  5. yeh Finland do have the happiest people or it ranked as it what do we know but Sweden Norway Denmark nah well denmar def have more happy people than Sweden etc

  6. Their pallets are clearly screwed – unless they have sugar, it’s “not good tasting”. If you eat on a daily basis that Greek food instead of sugar filled foods, it will taste good – your pallet adapts to regular, healthy food

  7. No one has ever been served that dish in Sweden ever. We eat the same dishes for lunch as we eat for dinner.

  8. The woman who hosts this has such a beautiful voice. I could listen to you talk all day. Very soft and beautiful. You have a radio voice

  9. Was waiting for Finland to be here and haha that right there is premium level lunch here. Never forget everyone just going nuts or falling asleep during the last classes cuz our school lunches are so watered down that they won't even keep you up until end of the day. Used to be better in the past when you would get curry with chicken in it instead of veggies floating in orange water.

  10. Nah, props to the French parents for being outraged at what their kids are being fed.
We need more of that in North America

  11. I am portuguese and i've never eaten that in my life! 😅 Soup yes, always but not anythigh else on that plate! 👀

  12. please do a revisit on Sweden's school lunch food. This was a diabolical choice (considering this felt like the "bottom of the barrel" pick)

  13. I am genuinely interested in what people actually eat in other countries, because I see a lot of comments saying these are inaccurate. I would love to know what you all really eat.❤

  14. im a mother and im from Switzerland The child gets fresh food every day and we have pasta and much more. There are many dishes for children that are good. Traditionally there is a lot with potatoes or vegetables and also a lot of choice because Switzerland generally invests a lot of money for children in daycare centers Children who come home at lunchtime but there is also lunchtime care in the schools. We eat 5 times in the morning.

Lunch is 2 hours after breakfast at 9:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m. during the break time.

midday around 12.00 to 2.30 p.m. And in the afternoon there is another meal called Zvieri, which is eaten around 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and then dinner, which is eaten from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Normally we all sit together at the table to talk about what happened that day, that's how it is in Switzerland.

  15. In Portugal we have a lot more food besides that. We have soup , maybe some bread , the main dish, vegetables, water , and dessert ( fruit) . 🇵🇹

  16. My high school lunch. Small bag of doritos, nutty bar and chocolate milk. I hardly ate the food in the cafeteria.

  17. France insulting the Spanish because of the blame of tomatoes that weren’t supposed to be served to the students at all! Izzy know that’s not true when it comes to France blaming for their produce.
