Castlevania Nocturne Season 2 brings back Alucard and Richter Belmont midstory. While breaking pretty hard from Castlevania’s storyline, after reviewing Castlevania Nocturne Season 2, it’s obvious that Castlevania Nocturne’s story was really meant to be one season to fully flesh out the characters. Hope season 3 puts it's focus on Maria she definitely the most interesting character for me with her mom and the relationship she is gonna form with Alucard.

I think season 2 did a great job closing up some of the plot holes from season 1. Looking back, it was strange that the main cast went to the Abbey to destroy the Machine… when the Night Creatures were not much of a pressing issues compared to Erszbet blocking out the Sun for all her vampires… I loved how Season 2 expanded on the universe like the original series did with the Infinite Corridor. Showing us realms of different Gods and explaining their interactions with each other and Earth. And those ending fight scenes were blowing my mind!!! I can’t wait for season 3!!

louis 14 was actually not a bad king the vesus errupted while he was king so all of europe was suffering under it the revelution didnt help it made thing just worse for everyone also the jacko black just killed anyone who didnt want to join them regardless of if they where part of nobility or not they even burned down and killed a whole monestry with innocent woman in it and after fighting the monarchy they just ended up in an even more totalitarian state with napoleon who waged war against all of euopre. so now the french revolution isnt a good alegory for fighting against oppresion if anything its a cautiionary tail to how not to fight oppresion

Well Nocturne is in my eyes inferior to the previous tv show, they should have kept the original writer. We have not even finished watching it as it's so much worse, not sure why Netflix changed the writer considering how good it was just to deliver something so mediocre.

This is another massive failure. There is nothing about the core franchise that is political. Nobody, on either side of the fence should be injecting this stuff into franchises that have nothing do to with it.

I didnt expect anything from Nocturne. Warren Ellis is a genius so the first series reflected that. Without him i had no will to try it.
Season 1 would have increased in quality if they cut all of Annette and Edward. That’s how a lot of people felt back then and it’s still true.
Now that season 2 finished they earned theirselves an apology tho. they cleaned them up well obviously if they where cut from season 1 season 2 would have suffered.

If castlevania is what you feel is 'audaciously' political you probably should watch less cartoons and read a book or just look outside more
Never played the games, only watched lore and story videos online about Castlevania. When the first season of Nocturne dropped I heard of the changes and differences from the source material and skipped it but after a year and things simmered down i have it a shot and I really enjoyed it. They really made the animated series an international affair, the social political tslk wasn't out of place due to the location and time period. I was most surprised by Annet and the depiction of African/Caribbean spiritualism. I'm the son of a voodoo priestess and the symbols and language were accurate. It was the first time I felt such a close connection to animated black character it made reminded me of my connections with my spirits and how I've lost my way and need to get back on track. This was a well written well animated show, I plan to show my mom it for Annet.
We definitely need a deep dive of Nocturne and character analysis on Annette ❤
nocturne was trash , Total Dei disaster ….. literally all story plots cant be moved without a black girl moving them along on both good and evil sides . The belmonts are reduced to emotional useless men that have to regain their powers to HELP the women , literally fact
