  1. Came to the United States on a TWA 707 from Madrid Spain after fleeing Cuba to escape communism. I was six years old …unaccompanied minor. The year was 1967

  2. I am surprised that, given today's woke social climate, someone hasn't tried to revive this particular airline's name.

  3. The early 707’s were found to have damaged wires caused by tweezers used by workers at the Bendix corporation. It caused A/A flight 1 from Idlewild to LAX to nosedive into Jamaica Bay after takeoff in March 1962.

  4. My favorite TWA flight was in the 1970s, on a Tri-Star. Those planes had a full galley in the hold. Nothing like boarding an early morning flight and then smelling bacon cooking and coffee brewing.

  5. i'd love to see this narrator brought through time to see things now!!! especially the TSA and how London turned into hajjeetown!!!

  6. PERISCOPE: First, thank you for saving and posting all of these great old videos. But I hzve to ask, why put that annoying timer right where it sometimes obliterates something valuable from the visual? Isn't there a less intrusive option, like maybe making the timer's background transparent? BTW I am not referring to this specific video, I mostly watch WW2 related content, and have noticed fhis as a real issue on some videos. In any case I am sincere in my gratitude for the work you do here and will continue my subscription.

  7. At 7:447:50, the jetliner pictured in flight appears to be one of four Boeing B720-051Bs built to Northwest Airlines specification but delivered to TWA and operated under lease for the period July/August 1961 until September/October 1962.
