Christmas Shopping 2024 Begins! | Cannes, French Riviera Vlog
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… almost! In today’s vlog, we start off our Christmas shopping 2024 and take you along as I navigate the festive streets of Cannes on a lovely bank holiday. With my son Seth (nearly 14!) by my side, we explore the twinkling shops and bustling streets to gather ideas and stocking fillers for my 11-year-old daughter Nancy (who’s at dance school today).
Join us as we soak up the early Christmas decorations around the beautiful French Riviera, enjoy the festive buzz, and tackle the challenge of finding the perfect surprises for growing kids!
Later, I’ll share a cosy sit-down chat to show you what we picked up, followed by a trip to our storage unit to dust off the Christmas trees and decorations. This weekend, the big Christmas clean begins as we prep the house for all the festive sparkle.

When my last was about their ages we decided (after YouTube video!) to not get presents (well maybe a couple cheap ones) for Christmas and instead use that money for a family trip! Which turned out to be skiing at Park City, Utah. A cool memory. I bought a couple presents in town while they slid down icy mountains on waxed sticks.
Love all your Xmas content and love you taking us shopping. Can't believe it's on the way again!! I'm off for a week in the Austrian Alps first week in December for the xmas markets and snow, so I'll be putting up my decs when I get back. Get me in the mood. Great vlog as always xx

Hola Fern . Another great video, &:yes motivation & some ideas…. I always usually put our tree up second week in December, but last few years its been round about mid November. Think its because Spain is more the 3 Kings celebrations, and the same atmosphere we love is missing. So its going up this week. Enjoy your decorating, cant wait to see it. Hugs ❤️
I usually decorate right after Thanksgiving, this year I feel like everyone is decorating early. Fern, you’ve really come along way in a short time if you think about it! Xmas decs are going up on Sunday 1 Dec in my home.
Usually the first week in December. This year however it will be the 2nd week as I have a new front door being fitted. I know It shouldn't make a difference, but I cant concentrate until its done. 😂

Fern, it seems like many people around where I live (Coronado, CA) have decorated the outdoors of their homes this weekend. Usually people start decorating Thanksgiving weekend, which is the end of November. Gets one motivated for sure.
I bought my teen daughter the pink Longchamp bag for school a couple of years ago (in Cannes actually😊) but it got so stained I replaced it this September with a navy one! I have the Longchamp travel-bag in pink for myself, it’s a great quality well priced bag for weekends away!
Tree going up this weekend as we are off to Bordeaux on the 26th so I want to make the most of it🎄❤

Love sharing your Christmas prep,I live in a small cottage so no room for a tree but I do hang branch's from the beams trimmed up with greenery, lights and bubbles so seeing your tree is lovely.oh I love your knit so pretty 😊 xx
