Parasites. While absolutely disgusting animals that in some ways can lead to the end of the host, can actually be quite important. However, some parasites, may just be horrific. In the events of Hell Hole, this particular parasite is the latter over the former. Invading the bodies of men in the worst way imaginable, it will exist within, gestating unless that man is threatened in which case they will literally explode. But why exactly does this happen and where did the parasite come from? lets discuss that in todays episode!

  1. I want you to know every time I see that clip of the scientist working at the table I think of your re2 G virus vid lol I keep thinking hey there's Dr Birken again

  2. @RoanokeGaming on the topic of parasites please look at the Mother and parasite infection from Zoochosis, also great video as always and I honestly use your videos to help me study for microbiology and they've helped me keep my marks in the high 70s and 80s

  3. Day one of asking for devil in the dark 2017!! Love your stuff black side MT was awesome thank you!

  4. Oil came from the Carboniferous era, when dead trees didn't brake down due to no life-forms present yet to brake down the dead trees, also even where oil to magically be renewable, it outputs far, FAR too much green house gases to ever again be a viable means to energy.

  5. Yikes how those things transfer between people in the film is NASTY.
But strangely enough, parasites like the horsehair worm also leave out the rear, so maybe that was why the film went … that route.
The amount of French roasting had me in stitches, no idea how this man does it.

  6. You mean he can talk about this movie and the bullshit these parasites do, yet he can't talk about subnautica. Oh hell no, stop playin' with me.

  7. Geology student here: oil does NOT come from dinosaurs and does come from micro organisms. We can find the precursors to oil such as kerogen and find the organic matter at various stages of becoming oil. Kerogen also becomes gas and others and are typically formed together and are pulled from the same wells at different stages of pumping depending on specific conditions. However it’s not renewable because it takes a minimum of millions of years to form.

  8. How I love to have seen a movie before you release a video about a said movie. This means that most often, I can watch without fearing for spoilers 😂

  9. Can't wait for the day Roanoke drops a video that spends more time talking about old cars in the background than any meaningful subject of the film

  10. Years ago I came for science on Necromorphs and a dubious interest in starting with feet, but I stayed for the trashing of Jeeps and the modern automotive industry. Based as always, Roanoke.

  11. You can tell marine biology not is Roanoke's strong suit. Cephalopods are members of the mollusk phylum, therefore it can be called a mollusk while also being called a cephalopod.

  12. I'm curious, can anyone tell me how the autonomous arms of an octopus function in comparison to our nervous system? Like, reflexes and muscle memory are similar to autonomous limb function, but clearly stands short of true autonomy because the signals still come from the brain. Would it be like your limbs taking care of the musculoskeletal structure for basic tasks like walking or eating? Would it be like having four cats piloting your limbs unless you focus? Or would it even be like the limbs be so autonomous that they can repeat habits (like you're passed out but your arms brush your teeth for you and your legs walk you over to your bed)?

  13. "earth is correcting the-"
No, you're wrong, nerd (Not you, Papa, I know you agree). This is OUR planet now, I will see this place become more irradiated and hellish than Mercury before I let anything else have it. Either we make it to the stars or we all burn it down together, most likely long before the sun vaporizes everything. That's right, it's an either/or: we go to other planets and try again, or we all ruin this planet beyond all recovery. If you know the unbridled human spirit, you know exactly what our choice is because it's the right one. You don't survive the eventual entropy of the universe by staying home and giving up.

  14. So as a horticulturist…basically a botanist who actually grows crap. Oddly enough there are several plant amd fungus species that parastize trees that incorporate the hosts dna. A big one is mistle toe, in fact whats weird about mistle toe is we discovered most of its dna for producing just about anything doesnt exist… The plant litterally genetically copies from the tree so much the margin of dna that is the mistle toe is smaller then dna it stole. While this seems absolutely bonkers for say a cephlapod. . .well nature still gave us a way of plausibility. Though i also must say. Plant genetics especially due to poly genes (extra genes alot of plants have but dont use unless in a specific enviorment, or for some weird ass reason like wild tabacco plants having different colored flowers. Plants like to do bullshit not much life does.

  15. Ngl I thought I was going schizo when the metal music started turning on and off at different intervals. V distracting ngl
