Thanks for the Delicious Memories of the Past as always.

You put kidney beans in Shipwreck Casserole. Tuna noodle casserole was a Friday night staple in pre-Vatican II Catholic homes, as Fridays were days of abstinence. You used boxes of Jiffy Corn Muffin/Cornbread mix
My grandmother was an excellent cooker, she is still alive, but now that she has Parkinson disease she can't cook anymore.😞
I make pork chop scallop with scalloped potatoes and other ingredients. Got it off a recipe card in one of my mom's recipe boxes back in the 80's. Now you can look it up online.
My family recipe for green bean casserole is green beans, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, milk abd flour then topped with lots of cheese. Definitely not a side dish.
I have no idea of where you are getting your idea of "grandma", but if I read this room right, you're 2 generations out of date. What you are describing would have been my granny, who died in 1972. Mine was the second generation (I'm 79 and was born on the cusp of the Baby Boom, whom I am more like). There ain't no way in New Jersey that my generation would know how to cook like that because we did everything out of the box and can. I would be the grandparent of most of the people watching this vid. We were the McDonald's Generation . Our grandparents used to make joikes about us being unable to boil water correctly. Even our parents used the original Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, though some of them could cook well, but it was a dying art
Who told u these were forgotten?? I grew up eating them n fed them to my children when they were growing up. I still eat many of these casseroles as they r mostly cost effective.
Not so forgotten, my mom made most of these casseroles, and I made them and still do for my family. 😊
How do you come to the conclusion that these are forgotten? People still make most of these commonly. You know you can make a video about old fashioned food you want to talk about without pretending they've been lost to history, right? Why don't you look at the frozen dinner aisle at any grocery store and tell me again that baked ziti, mac and cheese, chicken pot pie, and shepherd's pie are "forgotten."
I make a squash casserole and tomato pie every summer. I also make a string bean casserole from a recipe I got in home ec. It has cheese instead of cream of mushroom.
You forgot about my favorite John Wayne casserole.🎉
What about Frito pie. taco casserole I think you could do a whole another episode if I keep thinking.
Someone sends me this drivel fairly regularly, I find the voice condescending, and the information worse.
I had to eat hospital food for awhile. First time I ever had ziti noodles. Absolutely horrid
