Serena Williams has criticized a hotel in Paris after being turned away and denied a table. Williams took to X Monday, Aug. 6, to share the experience. “I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first,” wrote the retired tennis player alongside a picture of the hotel. The Peninsula responded, “Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight. Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked.”

The place is obviously book and other part was reserved for someone else. Therefore it make sense why couldn’t take in anymore guests. Sounds like entitlement to me and nothing else that she could be alluding to here. This reminds me a little of the situation we dealt with when I worked at a upscale hotel back in the day and a certain celebrity who shall remain nameless got upset and tried to flex his celebrity status to get our presidential suite that was already booked for one of our regular VIP guests. This particular VIP guest was always given special permission to park his Rolls- Royce in front of the hotel instead of the guest parking deck which made sense to me for security purposes. The celebrity guest eventually decided to go to another hotel because we refused to honor his wishes. No hotel is going to sacrifice a regular VIP guest for one that you will probably not see again.🧐
