Why don't you put a rail around the stairs rather than plasterboard, wouldn't it provide more light on the stairs

Ed, do you have a good masseuse you work with? My back seizes up and I've found mine to be the key and answer to my prayers. You might think of having them month/biweekly/weekly once you figure out for maintenance. Best wishes

Greetings Edd and Anna. I enjoy your program very much. I have a suggestion. That new wall along the stairwell? Does it have to be all the way to the ceiling? Find a creative way to allow light into the stairwell?

Put a waist high wall at the stairs. It will make the hall area more open
Ciro is getting pretty far on the dry wall Ed, it`s really starting to look like a home, the stone looks great as well, nice having Ciro back, so you can rest that back, be well my French friends.
Outside on the corner of the house there is a rounded bit with a hole in… That needs fixing to.

The restoration job on the exterior stonework does look fabulous, in a year the new stones will blend in perfectly. The front doorway, looks as if, it was always that way; your a true craftsman. With all that said, I have one disagreement as to where the towel rack should be, placing it between the shower and sink would work better. One can dry off as soon as they step out of the shower. It's also unsanitary to place a towel rack right by the toilet. Lucky person who will be living there, in the future.
I think a pony wall would be more appropriate so that the natural light flows to the stairwell.
