today we’re turning military food into gourmet meals I will be going against my cousin Sherman to see who can cook up the best breakfast lunch and dinner but to determine a winner we brought in the one the only Chef Rush who’s known as a celebrity chef a decorated Army veteran has appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s Master Chef and is even known for working in the white house he will be judging our meals based on three things presentation creativity and of course taste for each course we’ll be given a budget and a mystery location that we must shop at and not only that but for each round there will be a button that we can press at any moment that will trigger either an advantage or a disadvantage in the end the loser must spin this wheel full of disgusting foods that they must eat whatever it lands on May the better Chef win you already know the deal we are turning M Gourmet so the first one is going to be pork sausage and maple flavor oo o okay okay I actually help develop these Once Upon a Time you send a pinag gun around the table and all the mr’s in front of us with the generals and we ate and we said y or nay yo that’s crazy I actually did this on Master Chef with Gordon Ramsay any tips don’t mess up with that being said you have a $10 budget at Dollar Tree ooh okay and your time starts now we have to get a good look at this after you come back we can’t open it come on afterwards please no $10 to spend at Dollar Tree I have a good idea of what I’m going to make wait am I going to get arrested today for what bro I’m not wearing any shorts okay I don’t want Anthony to hear what I’m saying but I might make like a pork sausage sandwich or just eggs on the side $10 is actually a lot in Dollar Tree iced coffee from maiato this is only like three bucks right here we’re going to use this but just for the pancake I need to get something I need to get on the board here I think for a side the chef brush look more like a waffles guy or a french toast guy guys we’re literally cooking for someone who used to work in the white house as a chef that’s actually insane I’m going to just take a gander here and go with French toast so that’s already $3 so I know it’s a pork sausage patty and it’s maple flavored so I’m going to use this I’m going just use the pancake and I’m going to put the Patty on top and I’m going to get syrup but I’m going to use some sliced peaches in the syrup you can thr no yes I need cinnamon what is this an omelette cheddar cheese oh wait this is sick we need a side of something what goes good with pancakes bacon goes good with a bad thing and you can only press it once per round so we can press this button once per round do we have to do it in the very beginning in the beginning I’m just going to go for it mystery oh we got a muffin top syrup great beverage okay hash brown granola dude that’s perfect for my oatmeal you got about 2 minutes before I tie you up so let’s grab our Patty very juicy wait the time has started right Chef Rush it’s started and he’s still yapping I’m talking to Chef Rush bro get off my case so hash brown let’s open this up I wasn’t planning on using it but let’s see what it looks like I’m ready to be tied up hopefully you don’t mind some like aluminum and the syrup it’s protein iron literal the iron I like it I’m just going to have to warm it up I have no idea what this cheddar cheese omelette is going to look like but let’s grab a pan you got pans in there you got pans brother is there another one you want it here you go nope oh my gosh are you going to get the bottom one yep I’m worried oh wait there’s another just a splash that was aot here I think we have to start making the oatmeal to fry this a little bit of oil and we need to microwave this all right guys we got The Omelette right here all right we’re going to just this up so it’s easier for him to eat all right I’m putting this in a pan I’ve never tried to open a can with one hand oh yeah yeah it is killing me watch this it’s torture need a plate I don’t know if I put too much oil okay so you just searing this off yeah yeah what’s next you just warming it up I don’t want to burn it you know I’m going to heat these up the pancakes let’s go with one minute oh I should cut these okay you just putting all that in there together huh yeah yeah trust me I have a process oh it has the cheese inside oh yeah how much time do we have left you’re halfway there okay halfway let’s go a little bit of these I need to get the hash browns going so we’re already plating this let’s get the protein in there all right now we’ll get the hash browns in there 3 minutes left so what’s going on with the peaches those are going to be in a in a maple syrup in a maple syrup where’s a maple syrup on the table is that the one you bought from the Dollar Tree yep we got to use some of the M syrup at least oh Sherman you’re adding the syrup in there okay dude oh my God I have the best idea okay this is a hit or a Miss where I add some of the nuts in there ah slaming y oh no I need to start making the oatmeal okay while the hash browns are cooking going to get the oatmeal oh wait I could do this though yeah that’s smart all right dude that smells crazy bro oh my god dude I left these in a microwave these should be good pancake pancake like that we need a hash brown Brown no way oh no I forgot about the hash brown I don’t have time to make anything with it I just got to at least have it warmed up two3 cup water oatmeal stir well what’s 23 cup water I think you’re going to have to eye it on this all right I think that should be enough time we’ll make sure this is good you have 2 minutes bro why is your freezer hot what the hell my freezer is broken right now you have ice no wait yo how do I make this out at least pour the orange juice in a cup I know 10 9 8 7 let’s go 6 5 4 3 2 one hands up so we have two MREs exactly the same but two totally different presentations they look really different all right we’ll start you with mine right here we have some charred sausage patty mixed in with eggs and as you can see we have some french toast I kind of made it a little bit burnt on the sides as you can see and I whipped up and sauteed some hash browns I know you like your protein so of course we have to throw in a scoop of peanut butter in this maple syrup oatmeal and got to get that orange juice in there for a nice solid breakfast it’s first I’m going to taste is a juice that’s some cheap juice oh yeah here we go that sh I call that burn it’s the peanut butter it was heated up so it’s very aromatic you had the amateur now the professional I made for you the most Gourmet M meal you will ever eat this is pancakes with Maple sausage then we have not a regular syrup a peach peacan Maple reduction glaze syrup infus and then a side of hash browns which were cooked and then of course an iced coffee cuz it’s the beginning of the day you got to get up and going I’m going to start with the iced coffee can’t tell if silence is good or bad just she wait I wasn’t dis satified with anything for first breakfast is pretty solid your presentation of course this one shine over here this is my type of breakfast I’m a big guy I love protein a little bit more time and attention cuz you had both hands of course on that part of it for sure with this being said you judge all the way across the board and there was only one person that ashed it out just by this much as yes not only peanut butter is because you didn’t get to utilize all of your products you didn’t have to cook the granola you could have made a crumble for the granola dude one of the things I’ll give you is taste your product round one great first round but that was an easy round what do we got going chili with beans chili with beans this time I’m going to give you guys $15 at Target oh oh oh way way better way better I already have an idea of what I’m going to do chili with beans time starts now $15 the only chili that I remember is the SpongeBob chili let’s go I have a banger idea bro sloppy joe would hit so we need buns do we need any like sauce for it chili cheese fries ooh here we go damn $679 oh these are only $159 well this does look like sloppy joe quality it’s supposed to be sloppy it’s not supposed to be professional scoop bites We’ll add like a little bit in each Frito we should make hot sauce maybe we do need some lime so let’s go to the front and just buy a Dr Pepper is there any ingredients that you need that maybe we can share No Anthony I’ll meet you at checkout oh we need a lemon juice this is a five star Michelin star restaurant making our own drinks I’m definitely stepping it up this has to be under $15 damn we still have like $4 left oh Anthony you’re going over buddy drink so we need that this is a fat pack here it is the chili with beans cheese spread cheddar cheese crackers cornbread cheese filled cracker pepperoni pizza flavor we’re going to start with the fries what I learned from last round though guys is present I didn’t do good with the presentation last time but how can you make presentation look good on a sloppy joe I feel like it’s going to be a sloppy presentation so we’re starting this one different we need to see what these look like I need to pick out the best ones yep exactly what I thought 360 and then we’ll go 15 minutes I got that time right okay I might have put a little too much so take some out and you’ve never used a air fryer before huh never I think I’m doing this right okay it started okay now we can lock in on the sloppy joe need a pot with cheese okay let’s see how this looks this chilly we’re just going to add some water God then add some of this we’re going to add a little bit of cheese just to begin so I feel like I should toast the Buns a little so we’ll start with that I honestly think I might make two he’s a big guy bro what are you making a sloppy joe you’re making a sloppy joe where with what chili yeah you could do that right is sloppy joe chili you said sloppy joe with chili is it not chili in a SL are you dumb what is a sloppy joe you want to make something you don’t even know what it bro it’s going to taste good that’s all that matters this cheese is going to go on top of the fries at the very end we’re going to put this like low right and I have a trick up my sleeve Good Old Piping Bag huh Piping Bag yes sir he knows dude I can take my time with this one it’s actually pretty simple I’m going to get one person each one of you guys one hint of something so choose it risely so we’re making a Piping Bag out of a zip log bag because I need to fill the the Fritos properly I can’t have no mistakes bro after winning round one my ego with cooking is a little up there now so we already toasted the outside now we’ll just can I ask you a question yeah of course how would you layer it these are all the ingredients including the chili so I got that look at them buttered up man buttered buns is my favorite oh nice and crispy okay it’s time for the chili so I haven’t even seen what this looks like but chili with beans let’s just throw it in so this is your Piping Bag right here so you’re always going to have your Piping Bag like this you’ll cut the end off of it but if you have parment paper you can do the same thing so you want make it fancy so it needs to be pretty right it doesn’t need to be a blob on here so always start with a very small hole small cut small cut of it but if you had a parion paper you could make it into a Piping Bag should I put Pam or butter want to hear it so I know we’re turning M Gourmet let me speak what is that so I know with Gourmet you want to have nice plate right you want to have a nice presentation but chili cheeseburgers are not meant to look fancy and I got you a nice crisp on the fries along with the cheese to the point where it got stuck to the air fryer but we got you a nice diet Dr Pepper refreshing listen to the crunch yeah a little bit of air fryer paper in there oh also sorry I forgot to mention I did butter the buns and and I put them on a low heat I put them on a low heat gave them a nice little Crisp that’s extra that’s the Gourmet in this you want to taste Dang if Chef is having Anthony try it okay are we ready for the results we’re ready for the results with that being said I had this one little bite of this right here it popped in my mouth it had all those collaborations of flavors cuz it was layered mhm and you also put the flag up here yeah that was pretty clever you thought about that the Buns perfect the fries a little crispy M only down thing I’ll say about these is that you can’t consider them cheesy fries I fumbled that one for sure it was a tough when I think you still pulled it off but I’m going with this yes yes yes yes thank you thank you Chef thank you thank you thank you let’s get ready for dinner that round’s down last round to go one more for the win one to one this is it are you guys ready yes sir more than ready this is going to be your toughest round yet and I’m going to judge you extremely hard what is that creamy spinach fetuccini there’s so much you can do with that this one is going to be a changer so think about what you’re going to do how you’re going to use make a game plan and attack it hard okay what’s the budget I’m going to be extremely generous with you and give you $20 oh perfect I’m also going to let you do it at your local grocery store yes so you have as much versatility as you want so Shop Smart Shop well attack and let’s go all right come on and for the final meal it’s come down to the wire we have creamy spinach fetuccini and we’re here at an actual grocery store with with a $20 budget GG’s good luck we’re going to start with a nice protein in this fetuccini and I’m thinking shrimp a shrimp spinach fetuccini sounds delicious I have a great idea for this with a pasta maybe chicken dude what else do you add to that I feel like oh asparagus this is what we need oh damn can I get like half a pound maybe how about a third eight or something eight would be perfect yeah so I’m making a creamy spinach fetuccini do you think this chicken would go good with it right here yeah let’s go with one of those 549 549 is perfect 461 that’s beautiful we’re going to make shrimp fetuccini Alfredo any tips or tricks for me here I was thinking like a the white creamy sauce yeah what is that is that that’s the Alfredo yeah it’s like alfredo sauce right I think we go for something like that it all depends on what the m has we can mess around and change the style of pasta I already had my eyes on this angel hair pasta so we’re going to grab fetuccini I just watched Brian grab angel hair that’s not going to go with fetuccini my special weapon for this one guys garlic bread wait it’s literally all right here I think that’s all that would fit within my budget the only thing is a drink ooh let’s go down the aisle we’re making a heavy cream and white wine that’s going to be our sauce that’s about 20 bucks right there what if we just get like expensive water damn $4 cheese it is and we’ll head to check out let’s see if we stayed within the $20 maybe we can get a little bit of fruit mushrooms that’s a better choice right there all right we’re done let’s go Oh wait we’re going over budget 2066 no you could see that if there’s the cheaper version of yes perfect all right that should keep us within budget let’s go oh it’s already at $1 18 $21 no I got to take these out 1903 so close for the mushrooms all right this should be good perfect $1 1896 bro I went over by 66 C and I had to swap my alfredo sauce I was trying to get mushrooms and I couldn’t afford them Anthony did you say Mushrooms yeah Jeff Rush’s favorite vegetable is mushrooms no can I go in and return something no no dude come I just made that up oh dude you’re such a lot bro what the heck final challenge okay so I see you have some shrimp and you have some chicken cheap chicken so I’ll give you one hint and I’ll tell you both never get seasoned anything not meaning it’s good cuz you can always wash it off but it means that it’s going bad you could have had some fresh seasoning you want to oh the button I’m doing it you got it oh man this is going to be tough here we go last one is the best one and this challenge starts now let’s go oh my gosh honey mustard we don’t need this we’re going to actually use at the end you’ll see oh my gosh an energy bar creamy spinach alfredo and on top of that we have pretzel nuggets which I’m not going to use this is it right here this is the creamy spinach fetuccini all right now I really need this to boil like right now smells not good at all that doesn’t look like pasta oh my God I forgot I have chicken dude Anthony your chicken kind of looks scary make sure to Salt your water so we’ll salt it once it starts boiling but let’s check out the shrimp we got so what we’re going to do is we’re going to start with seasoning the shrimp we got garlic salt by the way guys I know I can only see from one eye but we’re not using any sharp utensils for this we’re not going to use a knife or anything just to stay safe round one of the chicken water’s boiling I’m about to cook the chicken right now if you want a tip I’ll give you up to three tips three this round one’s free the other two if I give it to you you owe me 25 push-ups for each one oh 25 25 is a lot bro relax what kind of past is it fetuccini you want a hint yeah what goes good with fetuccini what kind of chicken lemon chicken blacken oh with pepper blacken is that this that’s the dark one right here that look good what seasonings would make this pasta shrimp better don’t overseason don’t good so some of this this and now you boiling it I forgot that you’re supposed to take the chicken out and then add it in the last second dude should have known that before brother you don’t know anything I’m going to beat you with one eye wait I’m going to put the garlic bread in the oven all right bro make sure it’s on low I’m going to season wait wait wait taste it that noodles yeah they’re not done if it’s not done you want me 25 more push-up okay as nasty as H these are good tips like I’m actually going to do this at home 6 minutes I’m going to put my P what are you uh making in there garlic bread you should put it pre-seasoned chicken I heard through the grape finds that’s really bad we have some angel hair pasta top with some shrimp very well seasoned I’m talking garlic salt cayenne pepper oregano all of the above and of course it’s some nice crispy garlic bread try one of these what’ you think you know where they cook popcorn in the movie theater the chicken is pretty brutal very dry can you try your own shrimp may I yeah no lemon or nothing yeah no lemon now with that being said this is not just accumulation from just this meal it’s all three meals to combined you did teamwork even though you guys were competing against each other we like that we like that that was bad chicken yeah it was bad chicken it was pretty bad as soon as I put it in my mouth I taste the sourness from it that was lime no no that wasn’t lime I know lime this shrimp was cooked perfectly there is a clear winner and I am going to do the honors of you guys I’m actually scared brother you should be scared cuz I’m going to pull out something I never pull out around my neck is called a challenge coin the way the challenge coin is given to someone who does extraordinary things is we do a handshake did I win every day is day one you got lucky this time buddy oh we both get one did we both win it’s a time oh my god dude thank you it was an honor W Chef rush in the end it looks like we were both rewarded for our efforts Chef Rush encouraged us throughout the journey and taught us that we can all turn what we have into something better a lesson that can be applied for more than just Gourmet cooking although we wanted to leave this experience with bragging rights and a loser punish we humbled ourselves from competitors to Partners ERS and one together reminding us that teamwork can make the dream work have a great day guys
