hey Steven Veronica Kibler here again and today we are at the local goat we’ve heard so much about the local goat we’re finally going to get out and come here and give it a try so let’s go inside and check it out come along with us as we enjoy lunch at the local goat so here we are at the local goat to do another honest review of our experience on this day which is a Saturday at 11 a.m. in the morning this restaurant opens at 11:00 a.m. and it gets very busy so we wanted to come out and and uh want to make sure we didn’t stand in line for a long period of time and wanted to try out the uh hamburgers at this restaurant that we uh heard her very popular so come on in with us here we are in the lobby and uh as we were coming in more people were arriving so it was getting very busy oh yeah and I said there’s people standing in line when we got there and people behind behind us yes yeah so I don’t know if uh yeah here’s a look of the uh entrance and it’s mostly benches uh which is nice and they have some tables in the middle um but just for me I’m I’m not a very tall person the the benches kind of felt kind of very big like I I like sank into yeah I felt I’m not a real tall person either and I felt like I was kind of like a little kid at the table yeah I felt like I needed a high chair or something yeah interesting how you so if you’re a larger person you know tall person it’ll probably be fantastic for you yes yes yeah and they do have um they have a large menu so being our first time here I needed some time to read over the menu try to make a decision of what I wanted to order but uh I did feel a little bit rushed so the the waitress I don’t know if she might have been new but she kept coming over asked her to give me a few minutes to look over the menu but she kept coming over multiple times even though I was uh still reading the menu and just felt a little bit rushed now i’ heard so much about these fried deviled eggs I just had to try them uh Veronica I don’t think was a big uh she wasn’t in she didn’t it’s not what she wanted as an appetizer but that’s okay you wanted to try them so you ordered them so I ordered them and I’ll I’ll have to say this that um well here’s the lemonade though here here’s the lemonade that I ordered and they I asked the waitress if it was fresh squeeze and she said yes but this tasted like countrytime lemonade it was extremely sweet there was no lemon pulp in it um I couldn’t really drink it so I I just sent it back and I asked her to bring me a glass of water I could not drink all that Sugar it was it was not a a pleasant experience uh it’s not like hot dog on a stick if you ever been out west and seen hot dog in a stick where they actually have the the lemon p and everything in the the fresh sque that’s what we you know thought we were going to get yes and I agree it tasted like country time or Crystal Light or something like that cuz you tasted it and it was extremely sweet um so yeah I I was disappointed uh I did check with the waitress she did confirm it was supposed to be fresh squeezed lemonade but it did not taste at all like fresh squeeze lemonade yeah so I sent it back I I wasn’t going to pay for something that I you know I was told was one thing it really wasn’t and I had regular oldfashioned unsweet iced tea with lemon which was really good I like my unsweet iced tea with lemon you know but they brought the uh devil or the fried eggs out right away these are deep fried devil eggs and they brought them out really fast I I don’t know if it was made last the night before I’m not sure but I’m I wasn’t a big fan of the I I had high expectations cuz you know you tell me it’s something fried I’m I’m in you know we heard a lot of folks like these a lot of folks like them but but the day we had them they were very extremely Bland yeah I I think I’ll stick with the uh the deviled eggs like you make and the the um devil eggs like you get at the church you you know pot looks and stuff like that the church ladies make fantastic deviled eggs that’s what I’m used to and I think that’s what I’ll stick to yes I I wouldn’t order them again at least on the day we got these they were extremely Bland the the the fried batter has no flavoring to it so it’s just fried batter and uh and again the creamy uh the you know the Yellow Part wasn’t as creamy as what I’m used to yeah I I think maybe it could have used more mayonnaise a little bit more mustard uh it comes with sriracha sauce on it it was not spicy at all um the uh the candied bacon that’s I mean I liked that that part was good I mean I’m not saying that they were terrible it’s just not I expected something I expect to be wild we hear a lot of people talking about these devil uh deep fried double eggs so maybe they’ve had better experiences than we did um on the days they ordered them I I think I’ll stick to the traditional but we’re just being honest you know we’re this was our experience on this day so you know if you’ve had them and they’re great let us know yep po a comment let us know if you you had them and they were really fantastic again we love to read your comments and your questions and uh you know answer or share information now the burgers this is where they shine local goat shines this was I had the Tennessee whiskey glazed burger and and it was very good I’ll say that that I mean it’s right up there you know kind of like with graze Berger or you know the the burger at uh heart song is really really good also I’d say you know it’s it’s yeah and it comes with a Tennessee whiskey glaze a smoke smoked bacon crispy onions and a garlic ioli and caramelized onions yeah and I love those onions the U I know some people call them Sho string onions mhm but those things were amazing they’re very good yes and it comes on like like a kaiser roll with Sesame seats on it again I’ll say you know if if you’re going to go to the local goat and you’re getting the burgers and let’s say french fries I think you’re going to be happy mm you know um I I enjoyed my burger I’ll say that and it it it you know had a lot of flavor and and it was good and you ordered it medium right yeah I ordered it medium I order my let’s say Deluxe Burgers you know cuz when you’re paying you know $17 for a burger and includes includes a side M um you know I call it a deluxe burger it’s not like you know fast food burgers and and and they were very good I was happy with the hamburger the way it turned out and everything and and i’ I’d say it rates up there with a lot of the other good hamburgers in the Smoky Mountain Area mhm you know I uh but the onion you know the little onion string things that’s the Highlight for me I just love those things on the hamburgers I do too yeah I think that was probably the best part and the meat was good don’t get me wrong the meat was good and the Tennessee glaze was very flavorful uh then my side was these uh they call it caramelized onion Mash I didn’t want french fries on this day I wanted something different you know and uh I probably should have ordered the french fries cuz the uh mashed potatoes didn’t wow me I’ve had like uh like the restaurant of Zuul I’ve had the corn mashed potatoes and it had a lot of flavor you know it didn’t need a gravy or anything this here would have been better with a gravy or at least more glazed onions or glazed did I say glazed or yeah caramelized carel caramelized onions mhm yep yep and I ordered the black and blue Burger um which comes with creamy blue cheese smoked bacon crispy onions and uh blackening spice and I ordered the klaw as as side and I the shoestring um onions those were really good excellent um the creamy blue cheese um was okay was not as flavorful as I’ve had at the Brew Burger in Evansville Indiana so um the creamy blue cheese maybe you know they could either add a little bit more of it or maybe I don’t know it they didn’t have that real you know blue cheese is kind of a strong flavor and it didn’t have that mhm cuz you taste it my burger and yeah it didn’t have that so I’m not sure andan you could tell that it was blue cheese but it didn’t have that stronger blue cheese flavor which some people may not like you know which is a more of a Tangy flavor it be just I like that it with fresh tomatoes and lettuce and the Patty was uh flavorful it was juicy uh so I did like that I like the bun the Kaiser Sesame roll bun there and um yeah so it was the burger was pretty good again um this is I think I agree with Steve it this is where they shine on these Burgers um you can see how juicy that was was I cut it there so you could all see the inside of the Patty and there’s the uh pickles and tomato it was pretty pretty good and it is a a big burger so I mean I only ate like half of it maybe not even half maybe a quarter and I brought the rest of it home um Steve had the rest of it um later on but um that at least you know yeah if you’re going to pay mine was $16 and it comes with a side so if you’re going to pay that much money for a burger it’s nice at there nice and big and juicy and tender that Patty was juicy and tender cuz I’ve been at other restaurants where you have that size of Patty and it’s like a hockey hockey oh terrible terrible but this was really good is good yeah this this Patty was flavorful juicy the KLA I was not impressed with the KLA as you know I’m a KLA um I I prefer to order kosla when I go out to restaurant so I can get some type of a vegetable um this was it it was not frh fres it let me just be honest I felt it tasted like it was a week old KLA um and my husband makes COA at home for me regularly and that’s you know that’s what it tasted like it’s been a we Old Co and I think and it was like Long John Silvers Cole SLA just to give you a reference is is probably better for us not sure if maybe they forgot to put a little bit of the salt in flavoring in there because salt brightens up all your other ingredients and this was kind of bland I was surprised even though it had the Sesame the um celery seeds in it was kind of it tasted Bland and and it wasn’t fresh but this was um you know our experience on this day um it was getting really packed as we were leaving and again maybe that’s why I felt rushed because the waitress kept coming up to me even though I asked her like three or four times to give me a few minutes to look over the menu she came up to me often while I was reading the menu so I just felt very rushed my my experience turnning tables cuz it is so busy maybe I don’t know but again I’m paying you know good money to come and have a good experience and it just wasn’t for me so I it’ll be a while before I go back yeah you know for other folks you know maybe you had good burger yes and we do have other videos on other restaurants that we tried um really Gourmet Burgers and have had really awesome experiences so feel free to check those out like Grace Burger gra burger and uh we had uh at the heart song the outside dining at the heart song had a really good burger and we will be continue to reviewing some more burger joints for for you all and bringing you that information so that when you come through this area of pige and Forge Tennessee or this area in in severville county and uh County sever County I’m sorry um you can uh you know you have choices just always remember you have choices so that’s what we’re trying to bring you information so that you can get your um the best bang for your your book best bang for your book yeah yeah and and have a
