Gourmet today we’re going to embark on a
delightful Fusion Journey with a dish
that perfect
Mar’s east and west and that is Hong
Kong French toast are you ready to
indulge on this unique and flavorful
creation let’s Dive Right In and bring
this dish to life and as I always say
let’s get some prep done and let’s get
cooking
for this delectable Delight this is what
you’ll need start with one to two day
old milk bread if you don’t have
pre-sliced bread slice it into 1 and 1/2
or 4 cm thick pieces then you will
butterfly each slice to create a pocket
for your peanut butter you’ll remove the
crust to form nice Square pieces
once the crust is remove spread a thin
layer of peanut butter on one side you
want to be careful here as you do not
want to overpower your dish with the
flavor of the peanut butter if you’re
utilizing two slices you will sandwich
them together with the peanut butter
inside if you have butterflied it simply
enclose the slices back together
[Music]
in a medium Bowl whis together your milk
eggs cinnamon and salt until they are
well combined and there are no egg
streaks remaining heat your butter in a
skillet over medium heat while the
butter melts you want to dip each bread
slice into your egg mixture then you
want to allow the excess to drain prior
to placing it into the skillet once you
have placed your slice into the skillet
you want to cover with the lid in order
to retain the moisture which creates a
creamier texture for your French toast
after about 5 minutes flip the toast and
recover with the lid cooking for an
additional 5 minutes or until golden
brown and cooked through to serve remove
the toast from the skillet and plate top
with a pat of butter and a generous
drizzle of condensed milk for that
perfect Finishing Touch and there you
have it the quintessential Fusion of
East Meats West Hong Kong French toast

Wow! Interesting combination – I would never have thought of peanut butter as an ingredient in French Toast!
Looks delicious. What happens to the crust slices?
Now here is a recipe for me – peanut butter is my favourite food.
