  1. Fun fact, in Texas we like to add just a little bit of baking powder to make the tortillas fluffy. You can also see some people across the border in Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas doing the same but it's not the standard way like it is in Texas

  6. Congratulations. Saul is making one of the hacks of northern Mexican cuisine: flour tortillas with butter instead of lard. Other hacks include using milk instead of water or sweet flour tortillas with cane sugar. (Often the sugar tortillas are made with milk)

  7. Don't take a clean dry towel to spread the oil, that's so stupid. Waste of a towel. Just use your finger and spread the oil, then turn on the heat afterwards.
