Hey guys Mike Drear here today we are going to check out a house with a pool and a view five minutes from the heart of Kat town at a super super reasonable price if you’ve been looking for a home that has a pool in a view and isn’t like

$2 million and is way way less this might be the one for you this is listed by Tanya power over in our office next home Paradise realy I’m Mike Drear principal broker and owner of next home I’m going to show you the inside of the house the outside of the house I’m going

To tell you my three favorite things and the one thing would change or ad if this was mine let’s get started hey guys so today we’re going to start up here over on the side of the house we got our street Lana place down below this is a really quiet neighborhood about 5

Minutes uh from the heart of kona Town um great spot we have Ocean View we have a pool we have a nice home that’s updated quite a bit inside some really nice finish finishings uh and we’re at a great price that’s the other thing you

Don’t see houses with a pool in a view uh under 2 million anymore it seems like and this is well well under 2 million uh the previous owner uh loved art uh and so she’s got these uh etched p uh designs over here giving you a

Little bit of privacy so when you’re in that pool area the people right next to you don’t see in our driveway comes up and around the back of the house um so that you don’t have like just the garage you know facing the street which is kind of nice

And we come around here we’ve got wood siding we’ve got asphalt shingle roofing we’re guttered and I can see real quick see how we have this uh pipe up there at the top so when you see that you know that you have uh some water circulating in

There and that’s for the pool heater blankets so uh that tells us that our pool is also heated and yes believe it or not you probably do need to have your pool heated in Hawaii in the winter time while it doesn’t get cold the pool will

Get a little bit cool think about it at nighttime which is like half the day in the winter a little bit more actually you know we’re in you know the upper 60s so your pool will get nice and chilly if you’re not careful we got a two-car

Garage service door entry on that side some nice big Windows over here see big Windows over here in the bedroom side of the house as well uh and an entry right here let’s just make our way inside and see what we see now I have been in this

One before and like I mentioned the previous owner did like doing some nice things so you’re going to see a little bit more in here than maybe you’ve planned on so first we have our open beam ceilings a lot of people absolutely love this we don’t see it as much anymore uh

In our designs here in Hawaii but it used to be super common nowadays they just sheetrock everything uh and some people feel that that takes away from some of the Char character that a home can have so a lot of people do like these open beam ceilings with tongue and

Groove slats on top gives you a lot of sense of space uh right from the start right up above it also gives you a lot of flexibility with how you build your house so you have this giant header rail right here and usually there’s a couple places where there’s support in the

Middle and then outside of that it’s just the the outside framing of the home allows you to move walls around inside if you ever need to um so that’s pretty cool um we’re going to take you right now straight through a couple things to show you out here I’m going to show you

This area real quick and then we’re going to finish up back here at the pool cuz I have something else to show you but they have what was formerly just uh the outdoor Leni area which has been enclosed so it’s just straight through nor no door right here um and right to

This wonderful like Atrium sun room whatever you want to call it got screens over here got glass on this side so lots of air flow coming through lots of light coming through um really awesome you can see pretty Wide Ocean View there really a great space that’s uh it’s super

Comfortable I I I can know you can’t feel it on at home but I can feel the air coming right through you might see some of the The Ficus trees um that are staged there moving a little bit it’s nice it really brings so much air flow

Into the home nice living space this has been stylized and decorated by Valerie over at Mahalo H Hal stagers great job for her uh or by her on this as usual gives you an idea of how you can use this good space here in our living room

I like it nice high baseboards we got this light yellow color on the walls which keeps it nice and light uh I’ll tell you what we’re going to go real quick and check out the bedroom side of the house and then we’re going to finish

Up in the kitchen side and then go out to the pool and show you the cool feature that they have on this one this is actually a vinyl flooring Believe It or Not uh it looks like quartzite tile it feels great on the feet um so the

Look is really nice like obviously like no maintenance at all so that’s pretty cool we come in here check out check out this bathroom this is like a spa right here so gorgeous built-in or uh what do you call it a slide in they put here that looks great nice round

Mirror I love the tones the light colored wood great we have our nice upgraded toilet there and then the big solid glass piece These are nice and thick um I really like these because it just better than a shower curtain or anything else it just keeps everything

Nice and open uh and a zero threshold entry on this nice stone flooring going straight here to our shower have Subway style tile over here in the shower shower head in the corner and the rainfall head up above and then yes you can take in the view while you’re

Showering but we also have the uh the blinds that can be opened and closed inside the glass so you can do it either way if you feel like uh being free to the world go for it if you want a little privacy you can do that too so that’s

Kind of a nice little feature and those doors good go right out to the pool area plenty of storage here on my right and on my left and then coming straight through bedroom number one great size on here we’re staged with an inflatable queen-sized bed so that gives you a

Little bit of perspective you could easily fit a king-size bed in here no problem at all we changed to a slightly different color in here I like it it’s not a stark white it’s got a little bit of color I don’t even know what to call

It but it looks good and then we come over here into this bathroom this styled just like the other one which is really great looks gorgeous really like it oh we got Herring bone tile pattern here on the back with these nice little textures mixed mixed in see I wouldn’t be able to

Think of doing these different texture designs and making them look good there there’s like four or five different ones in there nice job on that and over here we also have our shower uh handle on the wall and and our rain shower head up above the upgraded toilet like we had in

The other one I’ll check out this pink Farm or I guess it’s a coral color uh door there that’s really cool like I said you can definitely fit a king-sized bed in here uh we have our closet set up over here I like it like that instead of just looking like a

Normal closet pretty cool uh here I am today wearing shorts today guys it’s nice and Casual you’ve seen this shirt it’s been around for a long time one of my favorite ones for a warm day it’s nice sunny out today uh and then coming through to our two remaining bathrooms

I’ll pick it up here pretty quick our remaining bedrooms so we have in here come to the corner a Murphy bed set up with a queen-sized bed uh I think that’s great allows you some Flex space like if you don’t need all three bedrooms to be sleeping people flip this

Up make this a workout room make it an office whatever you need and then when someone’s over flip it down and we have our closet set up over there with our frosted glass windows I like it and then finally bedroom number three traditional setup we got a

Queen-size bed staged in here as you can tell you could fit in a king if you wanted to squeeze it in a little bit between those windows we have nice ceiling fans in all these room we back to that yellow color really lightens things up

And our closet set up over here okay now the kitchen we’re going to make our way over there kitchen’s got some really really cool things um I don’t know if you’ve noticed but like there are features here in this home that the owner really uh put some thought into

The design it’s it’s a style that a lot of people are going to like so first of all look at this Pantry setup over here with the frosted glass or textured glass um doors and the stainless steel trim looks super cool and then I’ve never seen a setup quite like this it’s a

Yellow tile with a yellow grout and it’s not even a Square Tile I don’t even know where you find this stuff it pops it looks great it is really really cool and then we have a nice dark wood cabinet setup over here with you know nice high quality

Cabinets pull this one open dovetail joints soft clothes oh this is like a a double on a single pretty cool there nice so we got lots of great cabinets throughout and then check out this piece here I don’t these are like giant TW uh 2ot by 2 foot I mean they

Feel like they’re hand painted they may be um on this island absolutely gorgeous and then you’re in the kitchen you’re going to have some some really neat appliances and stuff oh before I get to that I like our shelves that we have here super sharp got one over there another two over

There we have a six burner melee gas cooktop that is nice you don’t see that every day and then we have our large single basin sink with our nice big faucet we have a stainless steel dishwasher check and then this is the G Cafe oven look at that it’s not even been

Used guys this thing’s still got the own manual and the thermometer in there you open one side the other side opens up too with this French door design on your oven which dude that’s awesome instead of having to drop it down and now you got to lean over cuz the door would be

Out here now you got great access you’re not going to burn yourself you don’t have to worry about it why aren’t we making all ovens like this this makes way more sense than the big lid that comes down and then you have to lean this is how they should all be

Someone needs to get on this oh my gosh okay and then you still have your your microwave down here one more people are putting the microwaves down low and then we have our LG refrigerator stainless steel with the uh a lot of people are liking this the

See-through door in here so you can kind of check what’s on or what’s inside without opening the door supposedly makes it more energy efficient okay so I told you we were going to check out something kind of cool out here oh yeah come over here to this final errow we

Switch to a cork floor there’s our access to our two-car garage uh a melee dude a meay washer and dryer I did not even know they made washer and dryers that is definitely the first melee washer and dry I’ve ever seen um let’s go ahead and unlock this door mik and walk

Outside there we go and check out the pool and the outdoor area and show you the cool thing that I really like so they’ve put in this pagota which is kind of nice it is fully anchored in screwed into the concrete so give you a nice little shade

Area it’s got the Nets that you can put up if you need and then we have our view out to the ocean and guys this is like I said it is a nice quiet neighborhood you’re just off Pani Road um literally like 5 minutes from town got this great lap pool nice

Shallow steps uh colored plaster yep all the way down in it looks like we’re good 5 foot deep or so and uh nice long pool area this is great got a flagstone style coping we got got our pool cleaner decking around we got some extra

Area over there you can turn that into a a grass in area if you need for the pups easy peasy just bringing a little dirt we’ve already got irrigation here as you can tell there’s our solar blankets on the roof and then here’s the cool thing I

Wanted to show you so I mentioned that that’s glass then you got screens and you got great air flow what happens when you have the wind coming with the rain driving it through well you got some pretty serious storm shutters here guys this thing these are aluminum they’re they’re not going

Anywhere those things are totally legit they go all the way down to there and then you have all glass down below so you can close this up darken it off private if you need to do that and then you know if you want to let all the

Light into the house you got nice air flow you open it right back up press of a button with a remote control that we have here and then you are all set so there you go I mean that kind of makes life a little bit easier pushing a

Button it’s even better than the the screens that people wind down and put out all the time because it’s solid uh and it does all that all right my three favorite things about the house and the one thing I would change or add if it was mine favorite thing number one is

That we have a pool in a view at a a great price point I like it uh favorite thing number two we are close to town literally 5 minutes away from the heart of town so you know commutes depending on where you are here they can get a little long

Sometimes if you’re heading south that road gets to be a little bit of a hassle um yeah more and more these days I got to tell you uh and then favorite thing number three is this kitchen now look I know some people going to say look at

The yellow they’re just not going to be able to deal with it and that’s fine this isn’t the home for you I totally get it um everything doesn’t have to be the same we can all like different things and if you like a splash of color but you still want a high-end kitchen

That’s workable and has great appliances and lots of storage uh and has its own unique aesthetic um then this is the kitchen for you so I know it might not be for everyone I actually really do like it I think it looks really cool uh

The one thing I would change or add I alluded to it just a moment ago is yeah I it helps soften things up a little bit but just making this a little grass area whether you have it for pups or not uh I just think it’d be a nice thing to sort
