  2. I think it’s better than Mark says. It’s a celebration of pleasure and minutiae and human connections via mutual interest in something. It could be about motorbikes or music. Beautifully made, untaxing (which I need sometimes). I will say I’m really glad I had a sandwich and a banana, don’t watch on an empty stomach unless you’re into sensory deprivation.

  3. The guess the ingredients bit reminded me of that Drops of God scene but that was borderline child abuse.

    I was watching the movie basically for Juliette Binoche and it doesn’t disappoint in that regard.

  5. spent a pleasant afternoon watching the matinee and then deciding what food I was in the mood for afterwards

  6. I discribe this movie as a beautiful picture missing the brush strokes showing how it was produced. Background bird noises was a treat trying to name the bird. French have a history of not multitasking well that was showed in this movie.

  7. Tran Anh Hung is mixing the typical Asian love language of cooking and food rituals and a love for French culinary arts. It's delightful.
