A Thrifty Frugal and moneysaving life here in Britany and Northwest France and every Friday we bring you something food related sometimes it’s a shopping hall or menu planning or batch cooking or just like today it’s our meals of the week our main meals we really hope that
You enjoy to see what we Thrifty home Cooks have for dinner in our house enjoy the video and here is Sunday lunch we’ve got roast pork it’s loin of pork actually today but I got it really quite cheaply roast potatoes a whole heap of vegetables we got broccoli uh cauliflower carrots and peas
And gravy and just to pull this back out to you to show that they cook and plate up four meals the Monday tomorrow we will just microwave what we’ve had today and we have the same again cuz I never cook on Mondays so there you go Sunday Roast here is our dinner tonight we’ve got ourselves some smoked salmon just 200 gram of it for $3.49 so that’s cool that 160 each the most expensive part of our dinner today and I made some mung bean wraps I’ll put a link below to our video
Where I made the lentil wraps and these are exactly the same so they’re kind of the shelled split M beans you take one cup of mung beans a good pinch of salt and two cups of water and you soak those overnight in the blender and the next day you just
Blend them up and you just make pancakes from them and have them cold as wraps so they’re I’ve never even seen gluten-free wraps here never ever seen them so this is what I make I make lentil wraps or mung bean wraps and in them we have got the smoked salmon cucumber and cream
Cheese and lettuce and lettuce will chopped up there we go so tonight we’ve kind of got smoked Salon cream cheese sades for dinner but they’re in a a high protein mung bean wrap and there they are Here is our lunch today we have crispy tofu that I cooked in the air fryer tofu is wet so if you just coat it in seasoned corn flour and just keep tossing it in it it kind of absorbs it and then creates this kind of batter on
The outside and then we have got brown rice cooked with carrots and peas and a sweeten toar sauce to make my sweet our sauce I open a small tub of pineapple I mix that with a mixture of ketchup and vinegar and corn flour until I’ve got it
The color and consistency that I like if it’s too thick I add a bit of water if it’s too sweet I add a bit more vinegar if it’s not sweet enough I will add in just a spoonful of sugar there we go crispy kofu with sweet and sour sauce
With pineapple with veget vegetables and Rice so here is today’s dinner I’ll put that on the side and put it on in a moment I’ve got homemade beef burgers with homemade uh pickles and homemade Co SLO and on mine I’ve also got a homemade gluten-free bread roll so I’ll put the burgers on there and there we go
Tonight is Burger night homemade burgers Co SLO bread rolls pickles and a bit of Lettuce here’s our lunch today we’ve got some slow cooked um ribs of beef short ribs I think some people call them and he was to I ate them the first time because I’ve not used to this cup in UK it’s what I’m actually eating is brisket and it’s really really good slow cooked
So I sauteed the the ribs themselves I seared them off in a hot pan I then took them out of the pan I added in chopped celery onions and celery onions and carrots and garlic and sauteed that in the render down beef bat I added the
Beef ribs back in and then I added some red wine and some beef stock some thyme and some parsley and let that cook in the wood oven for 3 hours we’ve got that served with some potatoes I’ve cooked in the air fryer and we’ve got some steamed and buttered leaks and savoy Cabbage and here is today’s lunch we’ve got three4 of the plate salads so we’ve got lettuce tomatoes cucumber and white cabbage carrots and onions and that’s in a mixture of mayonnaise and natural yogurt and then we have a smoked sausage each and some new potatoes these are out
Of a tin I just chop them up the sausages add in the potatoes spray it with little oil and stick them in the air for 20 minutes there is today’s lunch Here is today’s lunch I’ve got uh fried rice with mung bean sprouts and onions and that has five spice in it and also some soy sauce and here here I have stir-fried pork and that’s got bamboo choots it’s got green peppers it’s got carrots and
It’s got onions with it and a sweet and sour sauce as well there we go there is today’s lunch sweet and sour pork with fried Rice Here is today’s lunch I’ve made some gluten-free kiche and we have that with mush lettuce beetro beetro from the garden that I pickled last year so it’s in a sweet a sweet pickled brine with tomatoes and cucumber and there is the kiche and in the kiche are lons crem
Fresh eggs and onions and I sauteed the onions and the Lar on added the creeme fresh and the eggs beat it all together popped in the pastry and there it is Kish and salad thank you so much for watching thanks to all subscribers old and new thank you to everyone who supports the

My budget goes mostly in dinnertime we eat similar to you . Its lunches i find hard. We get sick if egg on toast ir sandwiches

Your food looks wonderful Jane! Those cherry tomatoes look much better than anything I have seen in our markets. I've noticed how much better your vegetables look over what we get here in the USA. We will most likely shop this year at the Amish produce markets since we can't grow a garden of our own (too many deer destroying our plants).
