The MacMaster is in New York City at Hamburger America which has gone viral online, it’s an internet Sensation, Hamburger America has ben set up by George Motz. Motz has appeared on TV shows, taught university classes, written books, and even made a film about hamburgers. Now, he’s brought his wealth of knowledge to New York City by founding a new restaurant in Soho of all places with the same name as his 2004 film, Hamburger America.

On the day of filming George Motz himself was there cooking up his speciality burgers and The MacMaster even got to speak to George himself and ask about future plans for Hamburger America.

The BIG question is do the burgers at Hamburger America live up to all the hype?

Actually opened up uh Shake Shack we’re going to head on in there we’re going to find out because this has been a viral sensation on Tik Tok and Instagram if you go on Tik Tok and Instagram or YouTube you will have heard of George MO

What is it all about though is it all hype well we’re going to go and find out there’s news stories about him he’s in the Press he’s on TV it’s been a mega mega sensation are his hamburgers as good as everyone is making out well

Going to go all the way uh mustard diced onion dill pickle and cheese let’s do it all let’s go for the fries as well and also we’ll go for this chocolate egg cream milk shake I guess it is I’m looking forward to this the shoest string fries as well one size fix all

Guys don’t up be good thank you got it uh yeah I’m going to go for the fried onion burger single or double uh we’ll go for a double all right I’m going to go for the classic Smash Burger uh all the way everything on it uh go for

Double again and I’m going to go for the Sho string fries and I’m going to go for a chocolate egg cream chocolate cream so I got a chocolate cream PR all the way double double right yeah that’s Now so so first things first they brought the uh chocolate egg cream I was expecting a milkshake but it’s it’s more of a it’s not a milkshake it is literally just chocolate milk so we’re going to go in for this and see what it’s like wow that is Good really really sweet very very tasty it is like liquefied cabis Cream Egg but it is gorgeous wow I don’t know how many calories is in it but who cares so I ordered the fried onion burger with order of french fries and a nice tea I got the fried onion burger

Too they’re famous for it and the fresh squeez lemonade it good it’s tasty real tasty fresh squeezed lemonade you can’t go wrong Excellent right so we’ got the uh Sho string fries here which are very hot they must have just come out the fryer um going to give them a go they look a little bit like McDonald’s fries to be fair um but see whether they’re salted or seasoned wow actually they really good oh

Wow yeah look at that wow light and fluffy on the inside beautiful crispy on the outer there they a seriously good fries really good very hot I think I’m going to add a little ketchup on the side here get a little ketchup in there there we go wow is that the

Smash smash um onion no onion no onion on that one okay yeah so this one’s the Smash Burger we’ve got here I’ve got an onion one coming as well reviewed them both um so this is the Smash Burger itself wow okay just look at that that is hot that is really

Hot okay so I’m going to pop that back there no come on in come on in come on in say hi face hello yeah this is so this is the Smash Burger right there’s no onions on that one this is just a plain smash one the signature double

Smash look at that okay wow look at that what what’s your first uh Impressions on that the the meat to bun ratio is really good so yeah the meat should be larger than the bun the meat should be larger than the bun and it is let’s let’s go in

For this and find out we’ got nice soft bun on there slightly toasted we’ve got underneath the uh the pickles and the onions are on the bottom rather than on the top is that normal bottom normal bottom normal yeah okay we got the cheese on the top there and we’ve also

Got the double patting on there as well let’s go for this wow the new two naap two naap invite there that wow that is really good the meat is excellent you got the onions there as well and that cheese the melted cheese on top there look at

That wow got to save room for the uh fried onion burger so far living up to the hype but we’ll Reserve judgment until we get the next Burger right so we’ve got the uh double fried onion burger here with the pickles on the side there um this looks great really really really good again two Meats on there two Patties on there got the cheese on the top just look at that look at them

Onions look at that amazing The Toasted Bun let’s H take a bite of this okay George has got my attention now this is wow this is it this is where it is at absolutely fantastic that cheese the onions coming through smashed into it just make it for me that is

Absolutely gorgeous it does live up to the hype I’m going to take another bite oh wow the burger is amazing I think one of the uh secrets to their step is when they steam the bun and put the bun on top of the burger with the

Onions and all that uh onion flavor is is U makes the burgers the bun soft and then gets into the bun it’s awesome yeah just uh the whole thing Blends together so well from what Kirk said uh just a nice soft beautiful texture and then taste as you bite into it a wonderful

Burger living up to the he so far yeah if you’re ever in Houston come to craft Grill we got two restaurants here craft Grill and then craft Grill Breakfast Club up in there in Tom Ball Texas then you can try any of the AER concept restaurants Lo Ste Eloise Nichols skers

Uh ader downtown we have 16 different restaurants so come check check us out so 18 restaurants between us wow I’ll be I’ll be visiting them but we’re going to get give a score outside out of 10 okay all right sounds brilliant your burgers are amazing thank you appreciate thank you excellent

With George being there himself didn’t absolutely I for me it definitely made the hype and uh I just um I I having doing those Burgers myself uh I kind of know what they they taste like um and this one exceeded what I’ve done done

For sure box out of 10 um I give it a strong nine wow that’s good that’s good strong nine yeah you lik the fried onion burger that was good wasn’t it yeah and again the way they did the bun and just the the meat to to bun ratio uh the meat

Was seasoned perfectly the french fries were really good uh it was hard hard for me to find anything that I I didn’t like in there it was really good and your restaurants in Houston is eight air concept so Lo teals El Eloise skers uh Babas e away we have 16 restaurants nine

Different concepts wow I need to come along and try your Smash Burger for myself I think well you need to come to my house and I’ll and I’ll make you one at home oh wow that’s even better come out to the woodlands and I’ll I’ll make

You one uh in our outdoor grill I tell you what it’s made it meeting these two guys today it really has we got people actually who can who know about food I kind of review burgers and fish and chips and stuff but you guys about food that’s great that’s a solid nine okay

What did you think I I would absolutely the experience was a 10 because just the energy and the the vibe and George being here and talking to interacting with everybody he was a great guy the burger I I give it 8 N I got the the uh the the

Smash Burger with the onions and it was delicious the way they shaved those onions so thin to make them cook just in the amount of time they’re cooking that small Burger is fantastic um add a little bit more condiment kind of things in there because they come plain and I I

Would have liked to seen a little bit more on that would be the only thing I would do next time but a delicious burger and a great experience fantastic highly recommend I loved it I thought the Smash Burger was great um I’ve been to White Manor as well uh you’ve been to

White Manor as well Jersey both we went there on a food tour a couple years ago what did you think did did it live up to White Manor I think it was better actually better you know they do a slider over there so a little bit different presentation but again they

The way they steam the bun with the onions different bun yeah and a different bun but um I I would probably pick this one over that yeah it was it was fantastic really enjoyed it I’d go for the fried onion burger the only thing the fries were great you like the

Fries as well the fries were good the shoest sing french fries are great yeah and uh I use the uh the thicker cut french fries at craft GR in Tom Ball Texas and and the craft Grill Breakfast Club hash browns there have you got two have you two restaurants side by side in

Tomball again come on I craft Grill is a scratch kitchen we are a southern uh Southern Comfort Food Kitchen we’ve got eight fish as well so we do both sides of it but our shrimp and grits and our uh fresh uh grinded Burgers every day uh

Served on a bun baked fresh every day put it over the top and we we’re very proud of what we do and we’d love to see anybody come see us and Tomball Texas craft gr there we go have I got an invite you got an invite anytime exent
