Hello everyone welcome to AI movies review and I’m here to review Mayhem and this is a new film from director Xavier Jens who did the original Hitman adaptation film and this French film focuses on a Model prisoner who gets out and tragedy strikes and he goes off to

Thailand and winds up starting a whole new life until he’s pulled back in and loses his wife and his daughter is taken and he must use all of his kickboxing and martial arts skills to beat the [ __ ] out of people until he could get his daughter back and yes you’ve heard this

Kind of story before does this do anything new or interesting in terms of a story or character perspective absolutely not he just you know what has a particular set of skills that’s going to set him up to be able to get his daughter back and honestly this

Film takes a while to get set up and to get to that point where you have like oh no he has to go save his daughter it’s not paced particularly well but what really makes this film Stand Out is the action and I think Jen’s has a good

Handle of that and I think Nasim lyes who plays our main character this character has a lot of cool skills s and the film making with Jens and his cinematographer jilles Port they do a really great job of capturing that action in a thrilling way especially the

First half of the film there’s only very sporadic moments of action and excitement it takes way too long to get to that point I feel like you know a film like taken which like every movie like this is going to be compared to taken gets to the point a lot quicker

This still when the action begins is something to Marvel at to really appreciate and everybody involved who’s bringing this action building the T and suspense and the excitements and the Thrills it comes together well but the characters aren’t particularly interesting it’s something that you feel like you really understand beat by beat

Sure there’s a couple little wrinkles into the story that try to add something different but it’s not enough to really make this stand out but in the end I think this is a serviceable action thriller that if you really like action thrillers at least this has some

Kick-ass action in it and it serves that purpose but those are my thoughts on Mayhem let me know what you think and don’t forget to subscribe my Channel
