🇺🇸 First up is the American style scrambled eggs. Known for their light and fluffy texture, American scrambled eggs are often cooked over medium heat with a pat of butter and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for those who enjoy a simple and comforting breakfast.
🇬🇧 Next, we will show you the British take on scrambled eggs. Creamy and custard-like, the British version involves slow-cooking the eggs over medium-low heat, resulting in a velvety texture. Combined with a knob of butter, this classic recipe brings out the natural richness of the eggs, making it a luxurious treat.
🇫🇷 Last but certainly not least, we explore the sophisticated French scrambled eggs. Often referred to as “oeufs brouillés,” this recipe involves gently whisking the eggs in a bowl before cooking them low and slow on low heat or in a double boiler. We’re going to take you on a culinary journey and explore three different ways to make scrambled eggs – American, British, and French styles. So grab your apron and let’s get crackin’!
First up, let’s start with the American style. For this recipe, we’re going to whisk our eggs. Then, we’ll melt some butter in a pan and add our egg mixture. Keep stirring gently until the eggs are nice and fluffy.
Now, let’s hop across the pond to the British style of scrambled eggs. In a bowl, we’ll whisk our eggs until smooth. Next, we’ll add the unsalted butter before adding the eggs. Stir them slowly over low heat in circular or figure ‘8’ motion, creating soft, creamy curds. Just before they’re fully done, we’ll remove them from the heat to prevent overcooking. Sprinkle finely chopped chives. Perfect for a traditional English breakfast!
Last but not least, let’s venture into the realm of French cuisine. To make French-style scrambled eggs, we’ll begin by whisking our eggs with a pinch of salt. I am using a stick blender for extra creamy twist. Once the eggs are done whisking/blending, can use a chinois to make sure there are no clumps. In a nonstick wok, we’ll add a knob of butter over low heat. Then, we’ll add our eggs and continuously whisk with a wok proof whisk. Keep whisking for a couple minutes. As the eggs begin to form small curds, we’ll remove them from the heat. The result? Silky, velvety scrambled eggs. Sprinkle some fresh herbs like chives or parsley on top for that extra touch of French elegance.
And there you have it – three delicious ways to enjoy scrambled eggs from around the world! Whether you prefer the creamy American style, the soft British version, or the luxurious French twist – you can’t go wrong with these recipes.
