I show you two French Tarts to make that are both cheap & easy.
Lemon Tart aka Tarte Citron and Tarte Tatin. (Ingredients below)
:
Tarte Tatin
6 – 8 apples
2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar
Caramel
50ml/ 1/4 cup of water
100g/ half a cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of butter.
Pastry for both pies
Gluten Free sweet pastry
500g. 3 cups and 2 tablespoons GF flour or all purpose/plain flour
250g cold butter/2 and a half stick of cold butter
2 large or 3 medium beaten eggs
75g/ 1/3 cup of confectioners/icing sugar
If making GF, add two tablespoons of Xanthum gum.
Tarte Citron/Lemon Tart.
6 medium/small eggs or 5 large eggs
150g sugar/ 1/3 cup
Juice and zest of two lemons
150ml/ 2/3 cup of double cream/heavy cream/ full fat creme fraiche
