Today, we make a delicious breakfast recipe that can be used for anytime dessert as well.

Ingredients:
For French Toast Casserole:
1. A large loaf of french bread
2. 8 eggs
3. 1 cup of white sugar
4. 1/2 tsp salt
5. 2 tsp ground cinnamon
6. 2 tsp vanilla powder/extract/paste (your choice)
7. 1 pinch grated nutmeg
8. 3 cups half and half
9. 4 cups fresh blueberries
10. 16 oz frozen cream cheese
For Blueberry Sauce
1. 1-2 cup water
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 2 tbsp cornstarch
4. 4 cups of fresh blueberries

Process:
1. In a sauce pan, add water, sugar and corn starch and cook till liquid is thick. Then add blueberries and cook till berries are soft and the sauce changes color. Add water to adjust the thickness.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 F
3. Coat inside of a 9 x 13 oven proof casserole dish. Cut french bread into medium sized cubes. In large bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt, ground cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and half and half and whisk to combine everything together. Put half of the bread cubes in buttered casserole dish. Add half of cream cheese cubes and half of the blueberries. Repeat the layers. Pour the egg mixture and press with a spatula so all the bread cubes soak with the egg mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and store in refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
4. Remove the plastic wrap and cover the dish with a sheet of aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the cover and bake for another 30 minutes. Check after 20 minutes to avoid the toast from burning.
5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
6. Serve with blueberry sauce. Can add a side of vanilla ice cream for extra yumm!
