Coffee, much like food, is a sort of cultural ritual here in France. Enjoying a cup of coffee — whether it’s with a friend or by yourself — is a time to slow down and really savor the moment. But for tourists, the simple exchange of ordering a coffee can be a little bit intimidating, and I often hear them make some simple yet avoidable mistakes when ordering.
In today’s video, which is entirely in French, I’ll explain the most common mistakes that non-native French speakers make when ordering their coffee in France. I’ll also give you some key vocabulary and teach you how to confidently order your coffee like a local would.
