The V-Strom 1050 is an… interesting machine. I think it’s often maligned, misunderstood and poorly represented by the media.
It’s magic.
Is it the best at anything? Nope.
The way I like to think of it is this. Most bikes are trying to be a gourmet dinner. Think Gordon Ramsey, Michelin star, fancy schmancy, tremendous, top of the game.
The V-Strom is a crisp sandwich, chip butty, pie n gravy, bowl of instant noodles, grilled cheese. It’s comfort food in a bike. It’s still food and most of the time it’s the food we want.
It just doesn’t look great in a picture on a menu.
