BLUEFIN TUNA FISHING ADVENTURE AND COOKING.
We went fishing for the famous BLUEFIN Tuna during the season cruising and trolling along the coast near Melbourne.
The Sonar was giving us some good clues but the Birds were helping us to Pin point the right location.
Our boat under the Direction of Captain Zac Cross from “CROSS COUNTRY FISHING CHARTERS” was cruising along at 10 km/h trolling our rods.
Suddenly one of our 30-pound rod was bending very hard and the wheel was screaming.
20 minutes later we retrieved a beautiful Bluefin Tuna.
That was our first catch a 20-25kg yellow fin Tuna.

Hello my Gourmets friends after this great adventure at sea catching Tunas, I will show you how to cook this delicacy.
On a grill or on a pan.
Firstly let’s marinate the tuna with olive oil, salt, pepper,
Lemon juice, chopped thyme, rosemary and parsley.
crushed garlic 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.
Before cooking leave it 15 minutes at room temperature to take the chill off.
Warm up the olive oil in a pan until it simmers but not smoking.
Add the tuna that should sizzle.
You will observe the formation of a white- yellow ribbon in the bottom that gets thicker the more you cook it.
Turn around the filet after 2 to 3 minutes depending on your taste: rare or medium
Cook it 2 to 3 minutes on both sides.
Now it is cooked the way you like on both side. Remove it and put it on a chopping board.
Cut nice thin slices of tuna and dish up on your plate with a salad of your choice.
Top up with garlic butter and lemon juice. Add chopped parsley and voila.
