1 cup fresh Figs
1 French baguette, sliced into ¼-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup goat cheese, at room temperature
¼ cup pistachios, unshelled and toasted
Sea salt
Ground black pepper
Balsamic vinegar or honey (for garnish)
Method:
1. Wash the figs. Remove the stems and cut it into quarters.
2. Cut the French baguette in toast sized pieces.
3. Place them on a baking tray.
4. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt on the baguettes.
5. Bake it for 5-7 minutes in a preheated oven at 190 C. Alternatively, toast it in a pan.
6. Let the toasted baguette cool down.
7. Using a butter knife, speed one tablespoon of goat cheese on each crostini.
8. Layer the chopped figs on top.
9. Season with sea salt and black pepper.
10. Garnish with balsamic vinegar, honey or both.
