We’re back, and with a homage to George’s dad, the great Barrie Ward. When George was small Barrie made lemonade with nothing more than a few ingredients, a blender and a sieve.
INGREDIENTS:
1 unwaxed lemon
½ espresso cup (roughly) white sugar
350ml (approx) cold water
1 tray of ice cubes
1 tsp mint jelly
METHOD:
Blend everything. Sieve everything. Drink the liquid.
It’s fun to drink it in the same way that Harrison Ford does in the 1985 film ‘Witness’. It also works very well with a splash of port, or even better some Elderberry Porth (Cornish name for port) which my friend, and Snack Hacker guest, Tim Maddams has created.
