Watch a conversation with James Beard Award-winning culinary historian Jessica B. Harris, author of twelve critically acclaimed books documenting the foods and foodways of the African Diaspora including, “High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America,” which inspired the 2021 Netflix docuseries of the same name. The series has been renewed for a second season slated for late 2022.
Harris will be in conversation with Tamika Francis, founder of Food & Folklore, an organization that pays homage to global food traditions through pop-up dining experiences, diasporic culinary classes and storytelling.
