‘Grandma Loves You’ was rated the best place to eat in Canada by Yelp in 2022, beating out dozens of high-profile, well-known restaurants. The family-owned food shop serves up huge sandwiches, fancy hot dogs and other delicious baked goods. Owners Sarah and Artin Davoodi moved to Toronto from Germany in 2018 with the intention of running a convenience store. However, the pandemic forced them to pivot their business and turn the store into a sandwich shop that has garnered high praise by its patrons.
