Always use coarse ground coffee when scooping. 8 scoops of espresso ground for 8 cups of french press espresso is too fine and can clog the filter.
Soak: Fill the carafe up to 1 inch below the metal band with extremely hot (not boiling) water. Stir steadily until all of the grinds are moistened. Place the cover and filter on the carafe without pressing the plunger filter down.
Allow the coffee to brew for 4 minutes before filtering. To filter the coffee, carefully press the plunger down.
Pour: Turn the lid’s mesh filter towards the pour spout, pour, and enjoy. Dispose of the used grinds in the trash or compost.
