Another Garbett Homes floor plan, this one with 3,180 sq ft of contemporary, open modern space. If you haven’t watched the previous video (also Garbett Homes), it’s important to note that Garbett Homes pride themselves in standing out from the rest, primarily in offering zero energy ready homes – what does this mean?
In addition to going the extra mile during construction, and making sure these homes are sealed air tight, by putting in extra insulation (you can’t hear the outside at all), they include equipment in all of their floor plans to make sure that air circulation works efficiently, thus bringing down energy costs up to 60%.
Add to that, all these homes come pre-wired for solar, and should you decide to add solar panels, these homes will be the greenest they can be, with extremely low HERS index scores – that translates in very minimal monthly energy bills.
The home design itself is aesthetically pleasing. The Bellows offers – imo – the perfect flex space right to your left as you enter the home. Currently staged as an office, it can also be a bedroom, receiving room, music room, etc. The one thing I would add, or change, is the actual entry way – rather than a door, I would want to remove that wall (if possible), or better yet, french doors.
As always, I love wood flooring, and Garbett Homes offers that as an option, wood flooring everywhere. I liked the openness of the gourmet kitchen, dining, and living room. The master bedroom and master bath were also stand outs for me.
Not specific to only this floor plan, the option to add a third car garage (20-30K) is also a big plus.
Through and through, The Bellows is a pretty solid floor plan perfect as a first time home, or if you’re downgrading, or even if you’re looking for an investment property.
With a base price in the low 600s, you can expect the price to rise to the mid to high 600s depending on upgrades and options.
