You scream, we scream, we ALL scream for ice cream. We love a British seaside holiday as much as anyone, so we packed our suncream and headed down to Brighton in East Sussex for a taste of a proper coastal getaway. And what seaside trip is complete without ice cream?
We visited some of Brighton’s best and most well-known ice cream shops to try practically everything: gourmet pistachio and white chocolate raspberry ice creams from Boho Gelato, vegan matcha and raspberry ice creams from ARTBOX Cafe, and watermelon sorbet and a ridiculous sundae from Jojo’s Gelato.
From soft serve Mr Whippy, AKA the famous 99, to gourmet Italian style gelato, vegan and dairy-free scoops and the wildest ice cream sundae we could find, here are three ice cream shops you do not want to miss if you’re heading down to Brighton this summer.
Plus, did you know about Brighton’s historical roots as a massive seaside playground for the rich, famous and royal?!
