In this episode of our New Orleans Travel Vlog we are visiting El Gato Negro a Mexican Kitchen for our New Orleans best Mexican food review videos. We are visiting the El Gato Negro location in the New Orleans Lakeview neighborhood at 300 Harrison Ave which is about which is about 12 minutes and 6.6 miles away from the French Quarter. El Gato Negro translates from Spanish into English as “the black cat” and they currently have three locations with the original being in the French Quarter, a new location in Gretna, another in Lakeview and they lost a fourth location in the Warehouse District to the pandemic shut downs. I would have to say the Lakeview location is overall the nicest in my opinion. This New Orleans restaurant has become noted for their Mexican food that offers upscale gourmet twists along with their quality tequila selection which results in a very interesting selection for their famous margaritas. El Gato Negro is one of New Orleans best Mexican food restaurants and has quickly become one of the most famous Mexican food establishments for their higher quality Mexican food and fun happy hours which has helped make them one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in the Greater New Orleans area. They have an extensive menu with enough items to please nearly any taste. Many people consider this the best Mexican food in New Orleans and they provide some truly gourmet Mexican food options along with a lot of fun.
