Hi, I’m Michelle Berkley, I’m 54, from Manchester (UK) and have lived in Paris for 17 years. I grew up in Prestwich (Manchester, UK), and I guess I have a very northern sense of humour.. this is a skit of my “best mate” from Bury coming to visit me in Paris. I do the comedy sketches just for fun, as growing up in the North of England (where I lived for 30 years) it helps if you’re quite funny.
I have never done anything like this before, but during lockdown I did a couple of sketches on my insta to keep lonely or bored folk company, and people had a bit of a chuckle at my expense lol, so I thought I’d post to my channel. The words just fall out of my mouth, as I’m never short of a word or ten and I don’t care if I make a complete fool of myself, I’m in my 50s… I’ve “lived and been and seen”….there’s a world pandemic, in the grand scale of things.no-one cares if I talk nonsense. I am comfortable with being uncomfortable.

MY BRAND – EMELBY GOURMET – delicious jams, MADE IN PROVENCE
So what is my ‘real’ job you may ask?….I have created my own brand – EMELBY GOURMET – and am close to launching here in Paris. My first range of products are jams. I am working directly with FRENCH farmers in Provence. My first jam is RASPBERRY & GERANIUM, and other flavours include blackcurrant/mint, orange/grenadine, courgette (zucchini)/lemon – do they sound yummy to you? They’re bloomin’ delicious I say!
