After the week long headache I tried and tried to find a good bold reasonably priced DECAF coffee. FYI, you wont find one in your local grocery store.
I even went old school and started using a percolator on the stove top. After going through at least Seven (7) brands failing to make the grade I gave Peets a try.
This coffee is so good I cut out using sugar which is great as I inch closer and closer to diabetes as I age (runs in fam). Long story short, if you want a Great Decaf that wont break the bank this is it!!
Holy Crap!!! If you like dark roast coffee then this is the coffee for you! From now on this is the only coffee Im going to buy. It has a rich, dark, incredibly robust flavor.
I never thought I would ever use the words “robust flavor” in my life but it fits. I opened the package, made a cup with my french press and walked out of the room.
Came back in an hr later and I could still smell that great smell. Buy this and you wont regret it.
This coffee has become my hands-down favorite coffee! I used to only drink dark roasts, then found my way to lighter roasts. I would say this is pretty similar to Starbucks Veranda, but totally better.
I used to buy Starbucks Veranda, but have been drinking the Colombia Luminosa for a few months now and completely love it. It seems to have a brighter, more complex flavor.
Peets Big Bang is great too, but this is my favorite. Im pretty disappointed that they are out of stock right now, so my recurring monthly order isnt being shipped.
Im drinking the Big Bang roast that I picked up at my local Kroger, but they were out of Colombia Luminosa too. Bring it back!
I love the Peets Coffee Decaf Mocca-Java Dark Roast Ground Coffee, 12 Ounce Bag!! But, Amazon Website has it at $99.00!! So I went to the Peets Website and ordered a 16 Ounce Bag for $15.00.
Now I can go back to loving my morning blend again. Took one star off for the astronomical price, but it is a 5 star coffee! !
I elected to kick caffeine a few months ago, but still enjoy coffee. Its hard to find dark roast decaf, so I was very happy to see this at Amazon. Tastes pretty good, usually doesnt keep me awake.
Way better than any of the alternatives Ive found in local grocery stores. I keep waiting for the price to shoot up, but so far its remained a pretty good deal.
The bags normally arrive in a non-vacume state (bag is floppy rather than rigid), but the grounds taste fresh enough for me. The grind is about right for my drip coffee maker.
