This ice cream maker was delivered to me already opened and loosely closed with see through tape. Finally, I opened it for the first time to make a coffee ice cream.
I then found out that the plastic cover of the ice cream container was cracked although the ice cream was fine. I am disappointed and will not order another one.
Except for that one time, my experience with Amazon has been excellent.

I bought this ice cream maker to give my kids and I something to do in isolation. This worked great. Unboxing was easy, cleaned everything, and then placed the metal pot in the freezer (the colder everything stays, better ice cream).
We made our first batch of homemade vanilla and turned out great. (Recipe: 2.5 cups sugar, 2 pints half/half, 2 pints whipping cream, 4 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 2.5 tablespoons of vanilla.
Beat eggs until fluffy, add sugar, beat again. Add the remainder of ingredients and beat again. Chill over night and place in maker. This makes one complete pot 4liters) Took about 30 minutes of churning.
