I live in a city in New Jersey where the water that comes out of the tap is apprehensive at best. These are made for a coffeemaker that gets daily use and abuse from our tap water system and the cleanliness of the water for the coffee is bottled water grade.
Ive tried three different coffee brewed cups, one using just tap, one using bottle water, and the other with these filters in the coffeemaker. I could not tell the difference between the bottled and the braun filtered.
The tap on the other hand was easily sniffed out even before I could taste it. As long as they keep making our coffeemaker and these filters, I will be using them.
a really good cup of coffee, then you might buy beans whole and grind your own…use a french press…and STILL taste the chlorine unless you use spring water or a filter system.
If you spent the money for a Braun maker that uses this filter (brita), then you should use the filters if you buy gourmet whole beans…a small premium for a good cup of coffee (you already paid for premium beans and took the time to grind your own).
You save with no french press to clean! Too much trouble, too expensive, and you dont taste the chlorine or minerals in your tap water? Then use tap water in the inexpensive maker of your choice!
Caffeine is caffeine in the end!
I purchased the Braun Brita brand KWF2 water filter for my 5 year old Braun automatic coffee maker and am very happy with the quality of filtered coffee it makes using the Branded water filter!
Amazon fufilled my order in 1 business day after placing the order online and received an email from the Vendor once it shipped out (2 days later) and included the tracking number.
Although when I received it at home in a bubble-pack type of large envelope, the box with the 2 filters was damaged on one side. Fortunately the filteres were not affected.
Great product and worth the price if you want filtered water when making your cupp Joe!
It does an excellent job in conjunction with gold plated coffee basket in yielding a great coffee. I save a lot of money and time in not buying coffee and stopping at one of name brand coffee shops.

Well, as a true lover of a good cup of coffee, and having the Braun KF600 coffee maker (which uses these), I go ahead replace the filter bi-monthly as prescribed.
