Most coffee hurts my stomch., This one tends not to give me the after-burn American brands do. It does run a little higher in its price so be aware of that.
After living in Paris for years I must say the French do make a good cup of coffee, with or without the calvados.
Great product. Too bad it is almost 3 times as expensive as in France. Also, would be nice to have the decaf as well
My wife is French and when wed travel back & forth to the U.S. we formerly brought “our” Carte Noire brand coffee with us by the 4 pack (usually 4 four packs).
This would last us roughly 16 weeks then wed have to drink Americas interpretation of French coffee (which was usually way too bitter).
Once we discovered that Amazon could deliver this coffee brand here in the U.S. (We buy the most at one time to profit from volume buying) the costs werent too uncomfortable.
Try This… pour some pre-boiled whole milk in 2/3 height of a coffee mug, then pour this coffee into the hot milk to the top and then youll know what real French coffee (Café au Lait) tastes like.
First tried Carte Noire while on vacation in Paris back in 2014-IMO the best coffee I’ve had and bought a couple of bags home. Very happy to see Amazon has it!
I first experienced Carte Noire coffee while travel in France many years ago and have enjoyed it. I get it everytime I visit. Not sure what else to say, but if you are looking for something different; like French coffee you cant go wrong.
I also like this brands instant coffee too.
This is great coffee, and hard to find in the US. I used to bring as many packs back from France when I visited, and while more expensive to buy in the US, the convenience of being able to find it is much appreciated.
I have sent as gifts for friends who enjoyed it when trying it at our house and theyve loved it too. Im going to try the espresso version next.
