Just 2 hours away from Kolkata, you will find the legendary and unique Hangseshwar Temple, the beautiful Hooghly Imambara, Bandel Church and the riverfront of Chandernagar, the erstwhile French colony of West Bengal. I had the pleasure of visiting the temple and the Imambara this week and then I drove to the Lord’s Ghat of Chandernagar and finally enjoyed some rice and chicken at a Dhaba on the old Delhi Road. I have enjoyed this day trip from Kolkata a lot and I recommend everyone to pay a visit to this temple and Imambara, doesn’t matter what you believe in. These are legendary Indian spots which are left to be discovered by most tourists.
