Bennett Cocktail Recipe Cocktails After Dark
Today we take ‘Cocktails After dark’ in a new direction focussing on cocktails from our collection of historical cocktail books – prohibition and earlier. Today we start with a Bennett cocktail from the 1930 printing of ‘Cocktails by Jimmy Late of Ciro’s London’.
Ingredients:
2 parts Old Tom Gin
1 part lime juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Method:
The book itself gives no method for making or suggestions about serving – this was left up to the person making it.
We chose to shake and then strain into a Nick and Nora.
