Holland America has very good food, and breakfast was no exception aboard the MS Eurodam, one of its Signature Class ships. We mainly ate our morning meal at the Lido Market Cafe buffet, but the main dining room (MDR) breakfast was even better. The MDR had some gourmet items such as Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict, Vegetable Fritatta, Buckwheat Pancakes with Ginger Honey Whipped Butter, Asian Breakfast with Grilled Salmon & Tamagoyaki, We didn’t get a chance to order all the yummy stuff on the menu, but we included the breakfast menu so you can take a look and see all the impressive items HAL have available.
At the buffet- you really must try the French Toast- it was the best we have tasted on any cruise. They also had Smoked Salmon at Lido Market as well. The Asian congee (Rice Soup) station there was a delight- you can add bonito flakes/Katsuobushi & poached eggs in it. We did not see congee on the MS Amsterdam.
