Autumn is here! Breakfast is here! and French Toast Rolls are definitely here! This French Toast Rolls recipe is perfect for this Autumn period and of course it’s 100% vegan and plant-based!
It makes an excellent breakfast or brunch and only requires a few ingredients! If you love apples and cinnamon, this is the perfect breakfast for the season! 🍁

* [ BREAKFAST FRENCH TOAST ROLLS ] *
2 Apples (cut into small chunks)
100ml Water
1 tablepoon Dark Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Cornflour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Lemon Juice
8 Slices White Bread (crusts removed)
50g Dark Brown Sugar
100g Dairy-Free Butter
Agave Nectar
1. Place a small saucepan on a medium heat then add the water, sugar, cornflour, cinnamon, vanilla extract and lemon juice. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the mixture has thickened to a syrup, then add the apples to coat. Set-aside.
2. Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
3. Flatten out each slice of bread with a rolling pin then add around 4 chunks of the apple mixture to the middle of each slice of bread, then roll up and place on a small plate. Repeat this process until all of the apple pieces have been included.
4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Place another saucepan on a medium-high heat and add the butter. Once melted pour the butter into a shallow bowl.
5. Dip each roll into the melted butter, then straight over the sugar on all sides.
6. Place each roll onto a baking tray and cook for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned on each side.
7. Drizzle over some agave nectar and serve hot.
