So here we are,it is September and I assume everyone is ready to see what Saifa has in store for this month’s wine of the month.
This month’s offers are going to be a red and a white wine from France. 🇫🇷
To make sure that we are really offering you a great wine, we had a little wine tasting of our own (just to make sure that you are getting a good wine, not because we were looking for an excuse to open a bottle 😆).
I must say, especially the white wine was a delicious surprise. A very fresh and crisp wine, exactly what you would want to drink during this hot weather, either by the pool or as an appetiser before a meal. The flavours were not overwhelming, but still enticing.
The red wine, in my view, is a great food wine. It has enough body and character to compliment a meal, without overpowering it. Easy to drink, which makes it ideal if you are sharing a bottle with friends with different taste preferences.

Red Wine: Carignan,Les Ormieres | 690Thb/bottle or 150 Thb/glass
This beautiful French wine, made from carignan wine grapes offers the aromas of dried cranberries, raspberry, licorice and cinnamon.
A medium-bodied wine that bursts with fruit and tastes rich and smooth with much lighter tannins . A perfect food wine and a great combination with beef, spicy food and roasted pork.
White Wine: Colombard – Ugni Blanc,Les Ormieres | 690Thb/bottle or 150 Thb/glass
A light and crisp French wine, made from colombard and ugni blanc wine grapes, which reveals fresh floral aromas, notes of sweet pepper and citrus as well as blackcurrant.
A delicious dry white wine, perfect as an aperitif, with salads and light cheeses.
